Open a Rejected Review SectionHey, let's implement a system, however imperfect, that allows the membership to flag useless and inappropriate content as useless and inappropriate, and then go ahead and go ahead and publish that content anyway.
The fact that useless and inappropriate content still appears in reviews is almost entirely due to a sub-set of reviewers who will apparently rubber stamp anything with words in it. Fortunately, that's somewhat offset by another sub-set who will almost automatically reject anything that isn't a comprehensive novel about the club. I tend to think it balances out.
As well, the fact that some useless and inappropriate content makes it through doesn't mean that *all* useless and inappropriate content should be exposed. That's a little like claiming that because some people get away with theft, we should just allow all theft.

Mammas don’t let you babies grow up to be copsI've always hated that "not guilty by reason of " whatever mental illness. They're guilty *because* of the mental illness. It's fine for the *consequences* to be different, but the guilt is the same.

Who would you pick for a lap dance and why? None of them. DeSantis is, in fact, pretty hot, and under other circumstances I'd probably consider it. But she married DeSantis, so she has really poor judgement.

The worst thing to say to a stripper??!!@twentyfive:"You look just like your mother did at your age"
There are two locals that I know of (probably more, but...) that are daughters of former dancers. For one of them, it's a really good damned thing she doesn't look like her mother. Even when she was dancing, she wasn't above a 5. Daughter apparently takes after dad, because I don't see a resemblance. When mom told me that she was her daughter, I had to resist saying exactly that.
The other one is a dead ringer for her mom at that age, and she knows it, and is thankful, because mom is an absolute smoke show. The first time I saw her, she was on stage, and I had to stop and stare for a minute. After she came off stage, she came over and said "you knew my mom, didn't you?" I had to laugh and say yeah.

OT: Apple vision Pro@C.M.I, I am a moderate Apple fan. I waited for three versions after the original to get both my phone and my watch, and the fourth for my Apple TV, and I bought them a year after they were released. As for lock-in, if Apple didn't provide the services they do, that might be a problem. For what *I* need out of these devices, it's enough.
I absolutely agree that people who buy everything Apple makes as soon as it comes out are borderline insane. Or have more money than sense. Or both.

OT: Apple vision ProDid they actually mention the price?
From what I could see, it's primary purpose for now is to extend the professional's desktop into this virtual space. I could see this being very useful; that $3,500 doesn't go very far when purchasing good monitors for photo, video, and sound editing, and professional design work.
A secondary purpose is to extend a consumer's entertainment into this space. If you're single, or want to watch porn privately in a public space, I can see the usefulness.
Technically, they will work for us over 40 folks, with inserts for prescription lenses. There are companies that provide such right now for almost every other major headset, and most of the minor ones.

Left versus Right@skibum609: "Guess what frauds, if you allow either extreme, despite their allegedly small numbers, to run the show, then it's on you."
Given that the parties all but absolutely control who you can even vote for anymore, it's become increasingly hard for voters to make the kind of difference of which you speak. They've engineered the primary process such that you can't even get on the primary ballot unless the party gives their stamp of approval. And even in the actual federal election, they've managed to pass laws that all but prevent third party candidates from getting on the ballot, requiring successful petitions from *every* state on whose ballot you want to appear. The two major parties' candidates get the approval virtually automatically.
The primary elections are *owned* by the parties themselves, they are not controlled by the government. Since the parties are not governmental organizations, they aren't bound by election rules in the primaries. So far, they have, for the most part, *chosen* to adhere to those rules, to give the primaries the appearance of officialdom, but they don't *have* to do so. They can include, exclude, and marginalize anyone they want, and it's all completely legal.
Add in the effect of super-delegates (both parties have them, but they work differently for Demagogues and Reprobates.
Dem super delegates comprise about 15% of the votes at the convention, and they can vote for whoever the want, regardless of how anyone else wants them to. Their number includes "member[s] of the official party apparatus". That includes former presidents and vice presidents, as well as all current Democratic governors and members of Congress, among others.
Rep superdelegates operate differently. They make up about 7% of the convention vote and are limited to the 3 top party members from each state. They *must* all vote for the candidate that their state voted for.

Yes, I'm aware that's not your view, and I have met that very same view from a number of people, as well as its converse, i.e. that "not white cannot be racist."

Left versus Right@londonguy:
Left and Liberal are associated with the Democrats, and Right and Conservative are associated with Republicans. Note that neither "Liberal" nor "Conservative" (capitalized) actually mean what the words mean. They've passed beyond the rational ideology represented by the concepts originally described by those words, and transformed into dogma, not subject to debate or dissent.
From what I understand though, almost all of American politicians are considered fairly fair right of center when compared to the rest of the world.
