I think it is a great idea and every city should have a zone where brothels are legal. Take a look at Hong Kong or at the FKK clubs, including the Globe Club which was just reviewed, for a model that would work. If done right, it is safer for the girls as wall as safer for the customers. Notice that I did not endorse unregulated legalized street prostitution.
In general, making a highly coveted activity (sex) or substance (e.g., alcohol, cannabis, etc.) illegal, drives the price up, brings in organized crime and increases the safety risks for all parties. For examples, go back and take a look at the history of Prohibition. Or take a look at the states that have legalized cannabis for examples. I've never been to a FKK club but I'd love to see that model available in a regulated manner in the US.

No escorts for me but I can appreciate the allure of sex with an escort. As noted by CJKent, sex with escorts has several risks, two of which are mentioned above (#3, robbed; #4 police sting) as well as a few others (e.g., bait and switch, the escort blows up your phone or intrudes in your private life). Of course, the escorts also incur some of the same risks as the customer.
As best I can tell, ITC sex with a stripper is not risk free but it has fewer risks than sex with an escort if the ITC transaction is done on a cash basis (no identifying credit cards or other personal information). I'm fortunate that my travels take me to places where ITC sex at a strip club is possible (Detroit, City of Industry, Tampa Bay Area). So for me, I'll pass on escorts as long as I have access to strip clubs where ITC sex is possible.
This is a personal preference and I'm sure that those who partake of escort services can provide eloquent rationale to support their personal preferences.
For thought: If you had access to strip clubs where ITC sex was possible, where would you invest your time and money? Escorts or strippers?

The authors are anonymous when the reviews are reviewed. Now that I see the author (rockie) it is obvious that this is NOT a shill review. However, my comments are accurate: "well written" (my compliments!) and "very little information on the private dance facilities and mileage." You make a compelling case for withholding "an explicit review" but that case was made in your commentary, not in your original review. And thanks for reviewing a club that has good talent but seems to be overlooked.

I have no problem with civilian women in strip clubs as long as they are having a good time. I've seen more than one civic have her boobs (or more) exposed by the strippers in the club.

SpecialJ: private dances are $25 per song but most dancers and customers negotiate a flat fee rather than paying on a song by song basis.
Rock All Night: Read again: "Entry fee is $20 for each visit." Also, "Talent was decent. A few thicker dancers but several more slender dancers who piqued my interest. " If it is important to you, I could add that there was a distribution of ethnicities, probably 3 white dancers and 5 women of color. I would guess that all of the dancers were in their 20s. I didn't take notes on each dancer. Only 3 or 4 dancers were of interest to me.

Thanks for the review. This was (past tense!) one of my favorite Detroit clubs. Unfortunately, most of the clubs inside the Detroit city limits have been severely impacted by the passage and enforcement of ordinances that limit the privacy in lap dances. I hope the Penthouse finds a way to thrive or better yet, that Detroit repeals the restrictive ordinances. Fortunately, the clubs in the suburbs (Inkster, Dearborn, Lincoln Park and Southgate) still provide a good entertainment option.

I made a short visit to the RGV last March. Like you, I had a difficult time finding helpful information on the adult entertainment industry in San Antonio and south to the RGV. I did make a trip across the border to a "strip club"n which was more like a brothel. I was not impressed with the talent. See my review below:

I also made a short visit to the Tex Mex Lounge, a more traditional strip club on the US side of the border in Edinburg, TX. The talent was pretty decent but my visit was brief and as I recall, private dance mileage was not exceptional. I didn't write a review. If I was in the area I might be tempted to check out Tex Mex Lounge again.
By the way, I did try to do some research on Massage options in San Antonio and the RGV on the USASG web site. That web site is usually a pretty good source of information but it was pretty dead for all of Texas.
As a reminder, Texas recently passed a law that makes soliciting sex a FELONY offense. I don't know if this law is being vigorously enforced but be aware. Of special note for all of the TUSCL people who blame the liberals for overly restrictive laws about consenting sexual activity, Texas is a red state! And Donald Trump signed off on the FOSTA-SESTA bill that was ostensibly targeting sex trafficking but also took out a number of legitimate web sites that discussed "adult fun."

Good answer Sinclair. Thanks. I agree with your observations about declining talent and increasing sense of entitlement.
One reason I asked is that I was reflecting on different types of "returns" for any potential investment. Some returns are in the form of material possessions (second house, cars, etc.). Other returns are in the form of entertainment and experiences, such as sensuous experiences with topless and nude women. On a different dimension, some returns are more immediate (e.g., entertainment when you're bored in a hotel room) and others are more along term (owning a second home).
As I've grown older, I find myself valuing experiences (e.g., travel, doing things, strip club experiences) more than adding to my material possessions. Just curious about how others think about their returns on investments.
