SAGINAW, MI — A Saginaw man found himself in jail after calling 911 to report he paid a prostitute for a service she was unwilling to provide.
The 34-year-old man placed the call at 7:52 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, requesting police to his residence in the 2100 block of Brockway Street, according to Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Matthew Gerow. The man said he had paid a woman $10 for a sex act, though she reneged on the deal.
The man told police he wanted his money back, Gerow said.
The 24-year-old woman was still present when officers arrived. There was no physical altercation between the man and woman, Gerow said.
Officers arrested the man on a misdemeanor charge of accosting and solicitation and the woman on a charge of prostitution. Both were free on bond on prior home-invasion felonies.

This level of stupidity should be a felony, not a misdemeanor.

$10 ??
This definitely was not a Flight Club dancer.
As a mental exercise, it’s fun to think what service can you get for $10

It's scary to think what type of woman would agree to do any sort of sex act for $10.
It became a lot expensionsive in this case since they are both out on bail/bond for other charges and I assume getting arrested again would cause them to forfeit that bail.

I remember reading once that one of the reasons for keeping prostitution law on the books, but rarely enforcing them, is so that courts are not empowered to enforce disputes between johns and pros: “A court can not enforce an illegal contract.”
