A short Wednesday night visit
Thanks. I checked my wallet and my total visit cost was $219. 10 minute dance cost was $145 including all tips. I have not seen many 9/10's dancing during my 30+ years of clubbing. I'll score Ruby an 8/10 tho. Mileage could have been better, especially without pasties. But decent for the Millstream.

The Millstream is for Regulars
Cost of 10 minute room? $60 to the house, paid at the back bar. There is the expectation of an equal tip to the dancer. Also, it's a good idea to tip the bartender who collects the house fee. I tipped Giselle extra due to the time spent and pleasant conversation. Might as well be welcoming to a new dancer to the club!

Anyone seen a skinny dancer named Riley here?

That is true. Alone in a little trailer, in a bikini. And probably have to open up shop when it's still dark. I do worry about the creepy stalkers out there.

Women in the club?
I don't see women customers in the club very often, but when I do it has never altered my enjoyment of the visit. Sure, there have been times when a couple comes in and I sense that the women really doesn't want to be there. But that's not my problem.

OP here. I stopped by the new coffee shop recently. Coffee was good, prices were reasonable, talking with the barista/owner/dancer was pleasant, but definitely not as much fun as interacting in the club. But we all knew that already. I do hope her business is successful; she has a nice setup and is putting in a strong effort.

^ Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. But maybe the place will add a little excitement to the mornings of a guy who is not strip club savvy. That would be a good thing.

I should have added that this coffee shop is owned by a stripper. And the current staff has been pulled from her stripper friends. I agree about Hooters. I haven't been to one for over 20 years. I don't think the food was ever good, but when the hotness of the girls declined, that's when I lost all remaining interest.

Best looking video vixens in music history
This one is pretty obscure, but one of my favorites. The girl featured in "Cold Blood" by Kix. Unfortunately, you only see her in tiny segments through the video.

Greatest guitar solos
This list made me think of many more great solos. Maggot Brain (the whole 10+ minute song), Limelight, Hotel California, and much of Steely Dan (def including Kid Charlemagne). Jeff Beck should be listed too, multiple times.

Take off your shirt
Many years ago, a dancer asked "if I like skin to skin contact". I said "yes" and she said "take your shirt off". That was the only time.

Greatest guitar solos
Lots of great solos out there. Three lesser known ones that I like are: Megadeth, Marty Friedman - Tornado of Souls Great White, Mark Kendall - Rock Me Robert Randolph (pedal steel guitar) - Thrill of It

Not that I am particularly upset about buying a dancer drink. I'm not a fan of it (the overpriced ones), and I'm sure I will buy many more. One thing that I also noticed, was that the millstream has a "reverse cover" promotion sometimes. Looks like they give you a poker chip that you can use to buy drinks. And the chip on the sign looked just like the dancer token. So, it may be worth it to keep your reverse cover chip ($5 value) and hand them over to the buy-me-a-drink girls when they ask. They don't want that drink anyway, and you save $17 for tips. 😎

That's a downside of shift change time. And also of being one of a fewer number of patrons. New girls come in and want to get that quota out of the way. Ebony was given a poker chip along with her drink. We are all cogs in the strip club machine. This time my job was to buy an overpriced drink.

Hi Decclined, Yes it was a good visit. The time went by very quickly. My only regrets are burning money on fees, and too many beers. Alcohol can be your BFF in the evening, but become a frenemy the next morning! It was a good recon mission though. Met new dancers and hit the club at a different day/time.

Are decent single lap dance options becoming a thing of the past
At the club I frequent (well, I don't get out enough to warrant the term..) in Baltimore, rooms are the way to go. Single dances do exist but are a terrible value. Cost too much and are barely any fun. So you got to take a chance on a room to get any enjoyment.

The Oldest Strip Clubs
Some of the Baltimore Block clubs probably go back to the burlesque days. Blaze Starr danced at the Two O'clock Club back in the 1940/50's.

How is Baltimore / DMV so bad
Regarding Baltimore - Night Shift, Hustler and Gold Club were all decent "higher end" clubs, but all peaked a decade ago. Maybe 15 for Night Shift. I stopped going to them all about 5 years ago after too many subpar visits. I've heard good things about Penthouse (formerly Scores) but haven't been there for years. I was never a fan of the Block. Too much sadness, desperation, and craziness for me.

^^^ Haha, Shailynn! 30 years has gone by fast. Not ready for assisted living yet. But making a note to find one that provides van service to the local clubs. I had a couple years of work under my belt by the time "the Internet" became commonplace. Boy did productivity drop... And the stuff we viewed at work - you'd get fired for sure now.

I've posted under my current name for almost 16 years. And was steve2000 for 5 or 6 years before that. I also remember an early version of the site back in the mid 1990's. I'm thinking 94-95... Very early WWW days. Hosted by a server with "paranoia" in the name if I recall. My friends and I used it before work trips. Good old days.
