Are decent single lap dance options becoming a thing of the past

You know a lot of recent strip clubs I've been to, the set up was give or take $25-30 single lap dance, those are complete air dances or maybe shitty heavily monitored shitty one way. Or single lap dances are insanely overpriced to the point where you have to move on, I'm not paying $50 for a song. Then the next level up is a 15 minute room. For around $150-$200. It's the point where the entry level stuff is completely worthless and you might as well just burn your money so you got to go to the next level. To have any fun whatsoever for just decent two way contact/them to leave a lone. They want to funnel you into all that.

I have to say it does work on me sometimes but I'm in no hurry to come back. The last few times have all paid off but you can really get burnt. I like to aim small miss small, alright the $20 lap dance sucked, I'm not sweating but the $150 VIP was a dud, that's the budget for the night blow out.

Are you guys noticing this? It's like these clubs are just completely forgoing the single lap dance model to try sell these rooms. I've been doing more and more of these 15 minute rooms and while yeah it is a better time but I'm spending a lot more money (as I'm sure the club itself is thrilled about)

Last time I went clubbing (about 6 months ago) I started seeing strip-flation everywhere, though without a change in levels of contact. I miss visiting my friend in ATL and the $5 dances at Club Blaze or $10 at Platinum. Even if the DJ seems to cut the songs short, it's still a bargain next to most places.

My problem with rooms is that if the dances are shitty, you're still locked in to that $150-200.

Extras are out of my range too. Not that I can't afford it, I just don't see rushed back room sex as worth more than the $200-300 I got used to paying. At that rate I'd rather just get a couple dances and jerk off that night.

Over 30+ years of PLing, with escorts and strippers, the first time with a sex worker is usually bad. The only way it's worthwhile for me is to find the few I really click with, and see them regularly.

Down in South GA dances range from $30-$50. Way too easy to burn money if you're testing out multiple dancers.

At least there are still $10 dances day shift at Tattletale/Vivide in ATL!

Muddy, maybe it's time to hang it up and start traveling around the country collecting those things for the Pokemon Go app. Do people still do that?

Also, if you rule at Pokemon Go, you will be nicespice's alpha male.

Strip clubs are pricing themselves out of existence with $25-30 for single lap dances, regardless of the quality. It becomes too expensive to sample the dancers.

I just cut back on the frequency of my visits and while I may now spend more per visit my total cost for the year is less. The strip club and the dancers have lost money.

They are not becoming a thing of the past. They are the new norm (not for me, though).

Dudes are willing to pay those prices for single lap dances, otherwise they wouldn't price them that way. And for most, it's not an either/or - they pay for some single laps THEN move into a VIP (with exception of those that already know the dancer they are taking or willing to deal with the risk of an unknown dancer).

@shai nicespice is way of all us ahead on that one

And yeah I've just scrapped the test lapdances at some of these places. And I take a chance. I do a lot more talking though now to get a gauge of what I'm getting into.

I still live in an area of cheap lapdances, so I do try sample dances at clubs where I can't easily get referrals.

This is an interesting way to look at it: https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflati… ...based on inflation the $40 lap dance I bought in 2020 costs $47.50 today. So strippers are rounding up I guess. I'm trying to remember back to when it was $20 a dance in Seattle. I'm pretty sure I bought $20 dances in 2000. https://www.in2013dollars.com/us/inflati… so those are $35 now. So I guess it's a bit of a jagged line. I suppose the denominations act as a gate. No one is going to pay a stripper $37.50. It's going to be in increments of $10 at a minimum.

At the club I frequent (well, I don't get out enough to warrant the term..) in Baltimore, rooms are the way to go. Single dances do exist but are a terrible value. Cost too much and are barely any fun. So you got to take a chance on a room to get any enjoyment.

As there is generally and inverse relationship between dance cost and dance quality, I stick to the $10-$20 LD clubs. $5 still exists some places, too, for barside grinds that are of better quality than $30 experiences.

I agree that it appears that clubs/dancers attempt to coerce PLs into rooms via special pricing configurations.

I think it all varies by club and location. At my favorite club in Baltimore, the Gold Club, it's been $30 single laps for at least 15 years. But these are full contact laps. Other clubs like Penthouse Club are different--tame single dances and the only way to get good dances is to spring for a room. I don't go to Penthouse anymore. At extras clubs, like the big Detroit area clubs nowadays, single laps are available ($25?), but the dancers all push for extras and don't put much effort into the laps. That's why I don't like clubs where extras are routine. From what I've read, clubs in Texas have $20 laps--that was also the price in the Detroit area in the 1990s, when single laps were awesome and extras weren't the norm.

In metro Atlanta $10 is still the standard price for a single dance but I have heard $5, $15 & $20 with mileage all over the place depending on the club and dancer.

Something to consider: when I first started going to strip clubs in Atlanta in the mid-late 70s, $10 dances was the standard, and it pretty much still is, with a couple of exceptions (Cheetah $20, Fannies $15). According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index inflation calculator, $10 in 1977 is worth $52.44 today. So, until you get to over $50 for dances, they are way cheaper now than they were in 1977.

Except for Kokomo, I've only ever paid $20 or $30 lap dances in the Chicago area (well Kokomo is far from Chicago, but I digress...) One thing I started to notice over the last decade was mileage increasing, that was true pretty much all over, just the variance changes. When I first started, hands were at hips and her hands were similarly apportioned. Then it went to feeling girls up (upper half only), then to two contact with OTP stick shifting to breast play to full out make-out sessions and FIV and a handjob. Then again, maybe it's because I travel a lot more and I see more of the better areas for clubbing. Luckily, Chicago has stayed with the $30 dance which is my top of the line. In Vegas, where I also frequent, I've tried more than a couple of $40 and $45 dances and it's maybe two way groping at best, not worth it.

^^^ “Luckily paying $30 in Chicago”.

…and this is why lap dances are priced the way they are in most areas - cuz dudes are willing to pay.
