    Trump's VP is chosen
For all who are saying that the VP pick doesn't make much of an impact, that very well might usually be the case, but as far as I am aware this is the first time in the history of this country that a nominee for President has named their VP nominee days after an assassination attempt, thereby highlighting precisely how important a VP could potentially be. We are in uncharted waters right now.

    Trump's VP is chosen
To me, this was his worst possible pick for VP. I said to someone yesterday that after the assassination attempt, I was sure that he was going to pick Vance. After brushing with his own mortality, he went with the guy whom he is most sure if something happens to him, will govern in the manner that Trump will, as opposed to someone like Burgum, Youngkin, Rubio etc. that would have likely governed more moderately than Trump. He will not appear to undecideds much at all. Trump had a chance to reach out here and try to widen the net a bit and instead chose to throw red meat to his base. Again.

What was the last great meal you had out?
Rockie - Sorelle's is also very good, but if I want to have Italian food in that area, I prefer to go a mile or two further south on Route 18 and go to Mia Regazza which I love.

2nd visit to Desire , ended with no Lap Dances
I agree with Puddy in that I'm surprised to hear that about Alanna. She's always been reliable in my personal experience. I had a recent VIP experience with Toni that was a refresher on why it's often best to avoid a visibly intoxicated dancer. There won't be a repeat.

What do strippers wear that does NOT look hot
Push up bras can be the modern equivalent of stuffing socks in the bra. False advertising says I.

What was the last great meal you had out?
A few weeks ago, South Shore bar pizza at Town Spa in Stoughton, MA. Far from fine dining, but as someone who grew up south of Boston and have lived here most of my life, the good bar pizza joints qualify as a great meal for me. Especially now since I'm type 2 diabetic and I don't have pizza that often, I appreciate it that much more when I do.

"A Midnight Clear." A very interesting (and little seen) World War II movie that came out in 1992 starring Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise among others. Well worth a watch.

    The Say Hey kid
I loved his comment about the 40-40 club (40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in the same season) when Jose Canseco became the first to do it. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something along the lines of "if I knew it was going to be such a big deal, I'd have done it three or four times myself."

Who here goes to strip clubs and stay sober?
Ski - of course the other thing defense attorneys (and drunk drivers) have going for them in Massachusetts is that you can refuse both the breath test and the field sobriety tests and it cannot be brought up at trial where in about 48 of the 50 states it comes in as evidence of consciousness of guilt. Yes, you automatically have your license suspended for 180 days, but the prosecution is left with an exceedingly weak case of "I smelled alcohol, his eyes were glassy and basically he looked drunk to me."

I may have one drink while playing poker as well. One drink loosens me up a bit and I actually play better. Any more than that negatively affects my play, so I don't do it. My problem is not leaving the table after I get tired. I've lost far more money at the table playing tired than playing while drinking over the years.

When I go the club, I have one drink or beer and then switch to water. One, my best friend is a drunk driving lawyer and I know how much he costs. Two, I haven't gotten drunk in about 7 years now anyway because I just can't handle hangovers anymore.

Wandering in the Heart of Friday Night
OWG - Denly's is not South Shore Bar Pizza, although it is very good and I've been going there for many years. I agree that Venus is on the list of the good ones. Ski - Poopsies is good, but there are a few better ones. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, Liberty Grille in Hingham uses the same bar pizza recipe as Poopsies, so if that is more convenient for anybody, it's basically the same thing. For those willing to try a newer place, Bosss Bah Pizza in Braintree is excellent. Take out only though.
