I have been refused service but not for being falling down drunk on that particular night. I think the bartender was blaming a bad hangover he currently had from drinking with me and some friends the night before? Wasn't a big deal, I just ordered from another bartender.

Benefits of tipping well as a regular
If it's a bar where the bartender and I know each other, I tip at the end of the night. Sometimes it does pay to tip as you go, especially on the first drink. I went to an all you can drink new years eve party at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas a few years ago when I happened to be working there. I tipped $10 on the first few round of drinks when it was early in the evening. When it got really busy, the bartender would see me at the back of a long line and take care of me right away. The admission fee was about $100 but I probably tipped out $100 during the night. It was a good investment for a fun night out with some colleagues when we were stuck working the holidays.

I think tipping well at any bar or restaurant is a good thing. On my first trip back to a club after they closed the first time, I tipped the bartenders as much as 100% and all dancers at least $10 on stage. I tipped servers that weren't serving me and even tipped a door guy I know well $20 This was just my way of saying I appreciated what they probably went through and was good to see them back. This is a place I go to frequently. It actually paid dividends fairly quickly as I told a bartender about not being able to get an Uber and she offered to drive me to my hotel if I had that same issue. I didn't need to use her offer but she showed goodwill back.

The main question will be what constitutes a bar is now a restaurant. Does selling microwaved hot pockets count? How strict the rules are will control how many bars open up. Can't see most bars that didn't serve food spending a lot to convert to a restaurant.

@whodey. Just make sure to get refundable reservations if you plan to go to Vegas. As of now, the bars are still closed. I've been twice since June and it is pretty much a graveyard now. I teased a buddy that works for the state that the latest outbreaks were because of him. He was tasked, as part of his group, to make the rules for opening in June. A lot of cases started in Casinos in Vegas. The word is bars will open under stricter rules in a couple of weeks. What that means? I don't know. I just know the two times I've been there I was glad work was paying.

mikeym. You just listed all of my favorite Pasco and Pinellas stops when I go out to Tampa. I wanted to go so bad in the next week or so because flights are so cheap. However, it sounded too weird to buy a drink and have to take to your car. Will still go but wait until the state opens up a bit more.

We survived 8 years of Obama and Biden without doing the stupid shit the left is doing now. We will just be hanging out waiting to fix it later. All you have to do is ask yourself how much healthcare costs you now compared to before Obamacare. If you weren't indigent before, it's definitely more.

It's not going to change this opening. Their aren't enough of those "social workers" replacing police to monitor the opening. The biggest cases are happening around 20-29 year olds and they just catch it in private after parties. You can't close long enough to make this go away. It just hangs out waiting. Politicians just have to realize that they need to worry about hospital cases and realize the numbers aren't going to be pretty.

Let's violently protest and defund the police in those states. That's a winning formula if I've ever seen one.

Places in the world that have tons sexy people walking around
I guess I'm immune to what I see in SD, CA. The place that amazed me the most was Romania. I was walking around with a 9 but couldn't keep my head off of a swivel. The cool thing about RO is that most don't know how hot they are and they have great family ties. I met grandma and Mom and both were great ladies. Only one that had a problem with me was little sis for some reason.

    Generational question
Never hitchhiked because I never really needed to. Picked one up once. I was on highway 50, the "Loneliest Highway in America", and picked up a German guy trying to catch a ride. I was driving between Cedar City Utah and Carson City Nevada. During the drive, you would not see cars for hours. The one stop had signs imploring you, many times, to stop for gas as it was the only chance. I felt sorry for the dude. He gave me a warm beer. I just wish he would have shut up once in a while.

Longest you have driven to a strip club
I've driven 450 miles for a weekend of fun. This wasn't the original question but have flown from California to Florida to do the same thing many times. It's a kill two birds with one stone thing. I get a ton of miles to keep status on an airline and I get a weekend of fun.
