I’m over at this tiny club with no DJ, and I need to create a spotify playlist of music for my stage rotation. I’m just doing Billie Eillish, The Weeknd, etc cause idk I just really don’t care about music in a club.
What would be a good idea? Especially for a group of dudes coming in for hunting season?

You should pick your music according to what you think the customers would like. I'm guessing classic rock or popular country from the 80s and 90s.
I'll suggest Warren Zevon's Werewolves of London. Could be a fun song since it's also halloween season. You coukd howl along with the chorus. Three and half minutes.

I like finding DJ’s that actually like classic rock. They play the crap the dancers want but during breaks and interludes they throw in classic rock and being in Michigan there is no shortage of Ted.

Playing Stranglehold while SJG was up in the club would be very dangerous to the dancers.
I'd be fine with a straight up lap dance club with no stage show, as long as the dancers walked around in string bikinis, or something similarly revealing. But if they have to give a dance performance, they should be treated like performers, picking their own music. If the club wants to pick the music, they should hire a choreographer to help them learn how to dance to it. In our culture at least, even if your body looks good, you feel vulnerable naked. Don't need to add the embarrassment of being forced to dance to music you don't feel like you can dance well to.

@blah I think in like a week or two I’ll write a club review. So far I am really liking this club. Made like $1800 last night. But then Friday like $280. Not much vantage point to really judge money yet, but I get the impression it’s way up and down here. Also, super erm informal here to say the least. Started off the night with my dog running into the club while I was on stage and chatting with a customer while I was already topless and went up to us demanding attention. So now I can officially talk on this board about customers playing with my wiener 😝
Many years ago at the Satin Doll (now closed), the DJ played the 8.5-minute version of Meat Loaf's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" because he apparently ate something that didn't agree with him and had to sprint to the men's room quickly. The dancers were pretty pissed; the customers getting lap dances (including me) were more sympathetic.
I don't think motorhead was trolling, Ted Nugent is the only rock star I know of whose main hobby is hunting, so seems like a good bet his hits would be popular with hunters.

IMO, even tho they're hunters, etc, mix up the music, just a little. Yes, play their favorites. But introduce them to new sounds. First of all, you never know who's in the room. You'd be surprised what music people randomly know. Second, I always remembered the dancers who seemed to teach me a new song that I grew to like.
Third, as a deejay I remember overhearing a dude in the crowd say something not directed to me that shook me. He said 'I go out to hear music that I don't already hear at home..." I get what he was trying to say. In other words, home is my reality world. Going out is my fantasy world, so sometimes keep it a fantasy world for me and play a little fantasy music since I'm not at home...make me feel like I'm out...'
