Where the sign used to be.

that walking street sign was iconic. the picture was when I first saw it a year and a half ago . included the top photo my hotel pool on top of the 30th floor between walking Street and Soi 6.

the hotel called the BASE has two towers with the pool on the taller tower. it's located immediately west of the LK area of Clubs. I stayed there I think it was 11 nights. i had a nice little apartment that cost about $43 a day. in the surrounding area a few blocks away found a older Hotel that I paid half that. it wasn't quite as nice but it was definitely sufficient and adequate. . and another tip for saving money is not to eat Western food. they have McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and others but it is just as expensive as it is in the states. I ate mostly from the street vendors and I did just fine. in almost all cases the food was delicious!

"The clubs are still filled with beautiful girls. Some gogo clubs have 200 dancers a night. You have quite a selection" . 200 beautiful girls? Oh hell no my head would implode.

How can you be sure one of these lovely ladies wasn't born with a dick? Even if I was 99% sure a slut was born a female, I wouldn't want to put my dick in her mouth because there's that 1% chance!

The fear of ladyboys is greatly exaggerated. The gogo bars that cater to male heterosexuals employ only real women. There are ladyboy bars and you simply avoid those bars. They usually have names that give away their orientation, like the one in Soi Cowboy that is called cockatoo. (Get it?). If you pick up freelancers on the street, you need to be a little more careful. But all you really need to do is ask the person. A lady boy does not want to go to someone’s hotel room and be faced with anger or violence.

Does anyone know some life stories of Thai bar girls that have Western tourist customers? Did they generally grow up locally or come from the countryside? Are they just getting by or accumulating significant savings? What percentage of your spend goes to them? What do they do when they hit middle age?

Many girls come from the countryside, especially Isaan. They help out their families back home. My ATF owns a house and a car somewhere far from Pattaya. Pattaya is where she works.
