Kind of sux that i have to remind you all that i dont consider myself a democrat..and that i consider myself a moderate or an independent , doesnt it?.. I guess it reinforces your polarized mind set as it proves that youre only capable of categorizing people into two boxes such as left or right? But honestly liberals who wont stfu about getting onto trumps case for children being seperate annoy me big time..like i do not condone trumps policy , and yes he deserves blame for it and that policy should have NEVER BEEN THERE. If you disagree idk idk whats wrong with u? BUT HOW ARE THESE LIBERALS ONLY BLAMING TRUMP AND NOT THE PARENTS WHO STILL MIGRATED AND TOOK THE RISK TO COME HERE, THEREFORE CONTRIBUTING TO THEIR OWN KIDS BEING SEPERATED?? LOL. btw, i understand why maybe a minority of families might have done that..to escpape a dire economic situation etc...but i still dont get how the parents are getting ZERO blame bc they should have gone to another hispanic country such as mexico or even another city in their own country to escape , as opposed to america which is much farther away , especially if coming to the US would mean they might have like less than 1% of actually being admitted together as a family.

    I actually agree with the post. That’s why many like Trump on this issue. Deep down he personally may or may not be for the hardline no exceptions stance he is taking, but in order to secure the borders with all these super bleeding heart libs he has no choice but to take that stance so the end result winds up a compromise. Keep in mind many of these illegals purposely come here to have children so they figure that even if they wind up separated their child, who by definition is a Citizen, has a chance at a better life. I can’t blame them, but at the same time many know the potential consequences of their actions. Ps - Dear ICE we need a thinning of the Cuban stripper herd in Florida.

    Well the term Liberal is ambiguous. In most other countries Liberal means something more like Lassies Faire. Liberal means someone who is pro-unregulated business, pro dismantlement of traditional society. Mostly as I know, in the US, Liberal was used with Hubert Humphrey and George McGovern, 1968 and 1972, the opposition to Nixon and people who it was hoped would end the war in Vietnam. Also it generally meant people who were pro-Civil Rights. I strongly support this kind of Liberal thinking. In 1988 Liberal was made into a dirty word, by Pat Robertson at the Republican Convention. So now were here more about Progressives. Probably a better term. I myself am a Radical Leftist. We have to change, we have to get beyond thinking which runs around things like the Work Ethic. We have to mitigate the Middle-Class Family because all it does is exploit children. We have to get to Social Democracy. We can't use the Mental Health System and Learning Disability Labels just because we won't have jobs for people. We can't use wars, or wars on drugs, or wars on immigrants just to create jobs and eat up resource surpluses. And we can't run an economy for the stock market, when we are wreaking environmental disasters while failing to meet the most basic needs of some of our most vulnerable.     The way I look at it, both extremes of the political spectrum are all about control. Personally, I feel that freedom and liberty is what brought this country to be such a great place. The US has freed more people and brought more people out of poverty than any other country in history....and in just a couple of hundred years. SJG will jump in here now and talk about how that's bullshit. But look at all of the other forms of government throughout history....they end up giving a few people power over everyone else. Here, though it's waning with more and more government regulation, each and every person has the ability to work themselves up from the bottom, develop the better mousetrap and make themselves rich. By comparison, look at what the great plans of government control of production have done to the people of the USSR, China, Cuba and now Venezuela. You end up with the same thing.....the government fucks up and those on the bottom pay with their lives. Oh....but in the US the wealthy elite have too much power.....it's the same shit in those countries. Do the high ups in the communist governments live like the little people or are they too special to have to suffer? Castro, the man of the people with his stupid uniform was worth billions when he died.....where was the redistribution of wealth there? Now listen for the argument.....socialism/communism/democratic socialism hasn't been done right yet but we new smart people know how to tell everyone else how to live!!!!

    Prim0, we have a huge underclass, people living with little to nothing and nothing in the way of job security, and often trading careers for junk jobs. No one wants to tell anyone else how to live, except maybe that they have to pay higher taxes on large incomes and asset holdings. A very small imposition considering how people at the bottom have been forced to live. Liberalism is what America is about, going back to the Revolution, wanting to replace a King on the other side of the ocean, with local democracy. And Liberalism continues in freeing slaves and in putting some limits on monopolies, and in setting up progressive taxation so that our economy keeps on running.     Progressives is probably a better term, or just Leftists. But the electorate in this country has never gone that far. Today though most people are highly influenced by Right Wing Disinformation Web Sites. So unless they really are, leftists, not much point in talking to them.
