Reasons for Vacationing
shailynn
They never tell you what you need to know.
- beach
- sight seeing (monuments / city explore / museum)
- entertainment (theatre / sports / concerts)
- amusement parks
- gambling / casino
- food
- partying / clubbing (not strip club)
- golfing
- hunting / fishing
For example - someone could say “I love to go to NYC,” but jackslash could be there for museums, twentyfive could be there for the Caridi B concert, flagooner could be there for a Jets game and Juice could be there for NY Style Pizza.
Got something to say?

I mean if I want to gamble I go to Vegas, if I want to the beach I go to the outer banks.
But usually my vacations are beach destinations I love to stay by the beach have visited beaches in 12 different states including Cali, but lately my preferred destinations are out of the United States.

If I am traveling with the wife, then I"m going because of all of those other reasons. And she is choosing the destination.

Museum's are boring.
"twentyfive could be there for the Caridi B concert"
Cardi b's music sucks but ok.
"flagooner could be there for a Jets game"
Rather see the giants.
"Juice could be there for NY Style Pizza."
You can get NY style pizza outside of NY.
Only in Brooklyn otherwise it tastes like shit.
I have never taken a vacation and never intend to. When I do something it always fulfills a whole host of needs.

From your list above Beach, entertainment, and food.......but more than anything a good book and peace and quiet are what I look for. I've seen most of the United States or at least been to almost all of the 50 states.
Some of my best vacations have been to Hawaii but you need two weeks off to go there because of the travel there and back.
In reality, I came to a conclusion two years ago that I’m only interested in vacationing for one thing: pussy.
Inside a city: The local food is the most important! And then also cultural activities. I also like the gimmick attractions like an acquarium or a botanical garden. Or I’ll sit somewhere and people watch.
In the past I liked to check out SCs in other areas and that was a fun vacation for me; but now I'm feeling like I wanna do some non-SC vacations where I can enjoy the location.
I haven't been to too many places and never been west of Texas - having immigrated to Miami from Cuba as a small-boy and watching a lot of movies and TV-shows based out of California, to me California was quintessential America (per the movies and TV-shows I watched).
Thinking of doing a California vacation next year and maybe take a bus-tour from San Francisco to LA via the Pacific Coast Highway so I can take-in the sites.
