    Not Entirely Disappointing
Based on timing and location for your odd Friday evening at DV, is it possible a lot of the dancers come out of San Bernardino and were stymied by road closures and snow? I know it's been a few weeks, but I heard that area above Rancho got hit pretty hard by the storms/

Is it Trying Too Hard or Not at All?
Do a "Spot check". As an old Army sergeant that phrase is near and dear to my heart. Good for you for making sure the troops are keeping standards high and staying mission focused! Since you identified some deficiencies, I expect you'll be back to check on their progress and provide them with "corrective training" for those who show potential.

Stagflation and the Fed's Catch 22
It's possible that the labor shortage is real if you are an older American, but not reflected in raw numbers or in wage increases because of benefits programs and illegal immigration. Companies dumping expensive employees for cheap newer ones is not new. What if with one hand the feds were helping feed the cycle which keeps wages reduced (fresh low wage employees) and with the other hand keeping the deficits ballooning (out of control social spending) because of the importation of fresh willing to work for little employees replacing folks who quit, are layed off, or find a disability to shelter under? The unemployment numbers can be very deceptive because once you've been out of the game long enough you don't get counted as unemployed, you're counted as not seeking work. The laxness of disability programs plays into this. As far as the supply of fresh workers goes (I've raised three boys to adulthood. I know this ain't their friends getting after school jobs): https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/2023/02/27/state-feds-investigate-reports-of-child-labor-in-west-michigan/69950452007/

CT State Police and Homeland Security at EB today
Homeland Security doesn't need you to be trafficked against your will for them to pick up a case. If you pay the cartel to smuggle you across the border Homeland Security is perfectly willing to give you victim status. It's one of those little details the current administration doesn't mention during the press briefings. Getting victim status pretty much precludes you being prosecuted for the trafficking; it also has the added benefit of forestalling or outright canceling any potential deportation hearings. This is either the city or state going after the owners and Homeland Security came along for the ride (plus it bumps their numbers up for the year) or Homeland wants to talk about "trafficking networks reaching into the very heart of our democracy" so they can ask for a bigger budget.

I liked the club listing organized by city, although I think an unofficial neighborhood name leaked into one. The city was listed as Del Air even though the only club under that listing showed "Inglewood" as the city in it'sstreet address.

Can a ROB also be an ATF?
I had an uncle who married a horrible lady. She did all the usual trashy stuff. They divorced, but about every 5 years she would show back up. He would take her back. She would clean him out. The whole cycle would repeat. For decades. She was a ROB. She was his ATF. They can be both.

Best ( or worst) thing a stripper left in your hotel room?
So two nights in a row she didn't make it home, and it was no big deal? Seems odd. That was her "manager" collecting the "rent" and not her husband, seems the most likely explanation.

    A catch-all account
    Monday Night Hustle..
Mudbuss, would you say this was an "evening gown" type club? I've been doing some reading about them and they seem hard to find but aside from your suddenly lowered expectations in the VIP this place sounds like it fit the bill. I'm definitely interested in trying a couple upscale type places and this looks like a legitimate steak house with some classy ladies. Also, would you say the ability to find a nice single malt scotch like a Laphroaiag or Glenmorangie would be available here?

    Working on the new site...
I'm against deleting. Quite a few online forums have "preview post" function that allows you to see how your post will look format wise. I have found that function helps me catch areas and avoid the wall of text problem. I think we should have a preview function rather than a delete function.

NCAA Proposal - Expand March Madness to 90 Teams
I would rather see some alternate leagues with different rules so we could see some variety in game play but still enjoy a favored sport in different variations. Adding more teams just means stretching things out. Instead of tuning in to the start of the playoffs people will just wait until the third round to get excited. With all the info on the web, people don't have to watch a game to monitor a preferred team's progress and then catch any highlights. I think it will risk leading to mental fatigue if it becomes so large that you spend a month just plowing through the first bracket. This is just the NBA trying to squeeze a few more eggs out of it's golden goose.

    18-22s that look 30+
The make up is beyond my knowledge level. I can discuss applying camouflage properly, that's about it. The body type issues could be a result of diet combined with a sedentary lifestyle. Dancing should burn a lot of calories and keep muscle toned, but maybe you have to be at a really busy club to see a noticeable effect? Factor in how sedentary life is now at every age bracket compared to 30 years ago and I could see a younger generation coming out heavier across the board.

    Manager Turnover
Maybe you have an ownership problem if the same managers are constantly rotating through the same clubs. In other industries I've seen owners hire-fire-rehire some absolute idiots because those were the only people willing to work for the owner. That was a combination of low pay and limited talent pools in rural PA which I presume to be very different from Portland.

Good time but not a fan of New System
A previous thread discussed what people might expect from clubs as the economic downturn continues. Perhaps we are seeing an example of it here. This system will almost certainly hinder the customer experience, but it will allow the club to capture a higher percentage of it's cut from dances. If that keeps the club/chain from raising dance prices/drink prices/door fees/whatever does that make it worth it? I really dislike the prepay ticket system (I have encountered it in other places), but not enough to quit going to a club that uses it if that is only downside to the club.

Donald Trump's NFT Cards 'Clearly a Scam' ~ Mary Trump
The only difference between the value of a baseball card and an NFT of any sort is the size of the market willing to pay for it and trade it. Some pieces of cardboard listing readily available statistics and pasted with a file photo trade for obscene amounts when you think about their actual value. Baseball cards, rare stamps, NFTs, whatever; the actual intrinsic worth is near zero. Even major art pieces only get sold at the level they do because groups of art aficionados get together agree that they are willing to pay "X amount" for a piece as they sell them among themselves. Canvas, some oil, a nice wooden frame. Call it 150.00 for the components. Everybody who ponied up cash for an NFT was speculating on future collector value. And they knew that deep down inside. They just thought they were going to get to sell it to some other speculator before it crashed.

That's a neat thought but the FBI (and therefore by extension the DOJ) are the people who would have to take an interest in doing that.
