Brief recap of the past couple of weeks of boxing action: Lomachenko-Linares is so far my Fight of the Year. Rungvisai-Estrada, Usyk-Briedis, and Gassiev-Dorticos are up there as well, but with Lomachenko-Linares we had my personal P4P #1 fighting the consensus #1 lightweight in the world. Lomachenko is a natural featherweight, and I'm convinced lightweight is the upper limit for him in terms of weight. He landed a lot of leather on Linares, but until he landed the liver shot he wasn't really hurting Linares very much. I still favor Lomachenko over any other lightweight including Mikey Garcia, but I actually think Gervonta may give him more trouble than I used to think. Yesterday, we had Russell-Diaz & Stevenson-Jack. Russell won comfortably, and it puts Lomachenko's easy victory over him in a very good light. Stevenson-Jack was a huge disappointment. Jack should have been penalized for all his ridiculous low blows, and Stevenson should have been penalized for all of his clinches. Jack wins the rematch in my opinion. Stevenson will only be even older, and he doesn't have the versatility to bring new wrinkles if he fights Jack again. The referee overall did an awful job. People complain rightfully about all the issues with boxing, but poor refereeing in my opinion is the #1 reason a fight can degrade into an awful and boring clinchfest. @ Warrenboy75 Terence Crawford is very good, but I put Lomachenko and a couple of others ahead of him in my pound-for-pound list of active boxers. I agree boxing is past its heyday in America, but overall the popularity and participation rate of boxing remains the same in a global sense. It's very popular in Mexico, and has had a total resurgence in Britain. With the fall of the Iron Curtain you are seeing so many talented boxers coming from Eastern and Central Europe, but very few speak English and in my personal observation Slavs don't have that flamboyant personality that the American public likes so much. By the way, who did you have winning Leonard vs Hagler? I had Hagler winning comfortably.

Farmer's a pretty decent boxer, but I had him losing to Ogawa. He better know what he's doing. Mayweather HAD to open up his own strip club in Vegas because he's persona non grata in most of them.

I do want to stress that while I'm not in the financial position I would prefer to be in, it isn't so bad that I have to choose between eating food or going to a strip club. @ chessmaster I thought Martirosyan looked pretty good that first round, but it was curtains in the 2nd. If I'm Golovkin this is the schedule for the rest of my career: rematch Canelo, then Billy Joe Saunders, Charlo, and Derevychenko in no particular order, then maybe a big money fight against Ryota Murata in Japan for money, and cap the career with either a rubber match against Canelo, a rematch against Danny Jacobs, or maybe a fun farewell action fight with Jarrett Hurd if he chooses to move up to middleweight. @ Warrior15 There are currently no worldwide popular stars in boxing. Mayweather is probably retired, and Pacquiao is faded. Adrien Broner may be the closest thing we have to an American-born boxing star, which is kind of sad. That said there are boxers who are extremely popular in a certain country or region. Canelo is hugely popular in Mexico and amongst Mexican-Americans. Golovkin has a pretty sizable Mexican fanbase and is a national hero in Kazakhstan. Joshua is a huge star in Britain, but isn't close to being a household name outside of the isles. The World Boxing Super Series going on has made almost zero impact here in the States, but supposedly is doing pretty solid numbers in Europe. Lomachenko is starting to build up a decent fan base, as are Murata and Inouye in Japan. The Charlo brothers, Eroll Spence, Daniel Dubois, Josh Kelly, and Gervonta Davis could potentially be future stars, and Eastern Europe keeps churning out really, really good boxers. To be fair, boxing has had fairly few globally known mainstream stars in its history. Before Pacquiao and Mayweather, who could be considered a world star? The Klitschkos were big in Germany and Eastern Europe, but even dating Hayden Panetierre did not make Wladimir Klithscko a household name. Lennox Lewis maybe? Tyson definitely. Many All Time Greats like Ray Robinson and Joe Louis were very popular in the States, but were they popular outside of the English-speaking world? I think Ali may have been the first truly globally popular boxer. That's probably why he ended up becoming so overrated. Anyways, Cinco de Mayo was underwhelming but the rest of May is going to bring us some really good bouts. Lomachenko-Linares is going to be great, but the fight I'm really looking forward to is Badou Jack-Adonis Stevenson.

I know it would be best to quit carbonated beverages full stop, but I love the caffeine and taste. I have cut out most dessert out of my diet.

I forgot I made this thread. I also forgot that the majority of TUSCLers are older, wiser, and already financially established compared to me. Thank you everyone for your input serious or otherwise. I want to point out that the diet I mentioned in my post is short-term, and actually healthier than the "going through the McDonald's drive-thru 3 times a day" diet I had previously. I have tried refraining from the Captain Crunch and choosing more grown-up cereals like Special K and fortifying it with multivitamins and fish oils. I love the convenience of cereal. You put the cereal in the bowl, then some milk, and then you rinse the bowl after you are finished eating the cereal. I understand that cooking my own food would be healthier and also still affordable, but I hate cooking. More specifically, I hate cleaning up after cooking and eating. Eventually I do plan on transitioning to a more balanced diet. Also, some of my expense sacrifices have not felt like sacrifices at all. I thought I would miss cable TV. What would I talk about with my friends? It's been a month and I don't miss it at all. In fact, a lot of the TV and sports I was watching was just to watch it. I also haven't played video games in 3 years, and I haven't seen a movie in a theater for over a year. Don't miss any of it at all. Also, I haven't notice a bit of difference in cleanliness ever since I started washing all my clothes in one load. I used to segregate my whites and my coloreds, and I would do several washes per week. Now I throw them all in at once, and I get to save time and pennies. I also make sure to turn off the water when I take a shower, except to get myself initially wet and to rinse off the soap. One of the other reasons I have been cutting my expenses is because of my recent interest in Minimalism. Many of us in the First World suffer from "too much" rather than "too little." It's not just expenses, but also the clutter of items and even people in our day-to-day lives. I looked through my closet and realized that I don't even wear half the clothes I own. My next step is to put up for sale on Craigslist and Ebay anything I don't need or use, and to donate the rest. I hang out with my friends much less frequently, and am saving money that I would spend on drugs and alcohol. Most of my entertainment now is TUSCL, going to the strip club once a month instead of a few times a month, and watching Internet pornography a few times a day. I love my porn. It keeps things simple, and the emotions more tidy. Also, when I do some time down the line get involved in another long-term relationship it will need to be an open one. Hello Asstapper. There are 4 clubs in the Sacramento Area: Club Fantasy, Good Club Centerfold, Deja Vu Rancho Cordova, and Pure Gold Showgirls. Of these clubs the lowest chances for extras is Gold Club, though it typically has the prettiest white dancers. If you want Asian then my best guess would be Deja Vu Rancho Cordova, as I have seen a few Asian dancers there though none with really big fake breasts. Extras are available, though not with all the dancers. I have seen leftover wrappers in the back a couple of times before. OTC is a possibility as well, though some time building up trust may be needed. I second checking out tahoecruz’s reviews. Also, Pure Gold Showgirls may be worth visiting once as I have heard from one poster that it is literally Paradise, but they might be biased.

I have read in previous reviews and comments that a $20.00 deposit is necessary for an Air Conditioner Remote, and that without you cannot turn on the air conditioning. Is that still true?

Tahoecruz did a good job of summarizing the four clubs in the Sacramento/Rancho Cordova area. Instead of trying to rank the clubs by worst to best, I will try to stay objective and give my impression of each club. Club Fantasy is the diviest of the dives. The "Club" in the Club Fantasy neon sign has been out for at least a year, and it has yet to be fixed. That said, if you are into big booty, ghetto, black chicks with a lot of sass you will find plenty of dancers to fit the bill there. Pure Gold Showgirls seems to have had a recent influx of new and inexperienced dancers, and it is the smallest of the four clubs. Like Tahoecruz mentioned, your chances of extras are slim, but last time I visited there was a dancer who seemed pretty willing to do some OTC. I declined because I am a gentleman, and also because she wasn't very attractive to me. Gold Club Centerfolds is the biggest, most popular, and most pricey club in the area. It has the most dancers, and many of them are quite attractive. That said, the VIP area consists of open booths with many of them facing each other. The back area is also decently well lit so you are likely not going to be having any extras though you can get good mileage. I have not seen any of thee vaunted "front room make out sessions" happening there. I used to not like the club so much since it was implant city the first few times I visited, but I made a visit quite recently and I was pleased to see that there was a good percentage of natural women there. Also, they have diversified the dancer population a bit but it is still majority white dancers. Deja Vu Rancho Cordova has the best deal in town with its $100.00 for 30-minutes deal on every day of the week. The majority are on the average to a little above average side, but each time I have visited I have seen one or two pretty dancers. This club also seems to have the most even distribution of girls of different ethnicities. The back rooms are dimly lit, and some fun can be had. I remember one time visiting and recognizing one of the girls from a Craigslist personal ad. Overall, this is my favorite club in the area even if it doesn't have the quantity or quality of dancers that Gold Club Centerfolds has. There is also a club in Marysville about an hour away from Sacramento called City Limits Showgirls. It's decent, and it's connected to a bar that serves actual drinks, but the prices are much higher than what you would find in Sacramento. Girls are open to negotiating prices though. If you choose to visit, I hope you have a satisfactory time.

Hello HarryJones, I read your entire story and what strikes me as a big positive is that your relationship with her always seems to be progressing, though at a very gradual and steady place. For example, you mentioned that you spent time at her place last week and that she expressed to you that she enjoyed it. That sounds like a promising sign. That said, Bj99 could be right that you may end up being friend-zoned, or you may end up losing her to some random nobody who doesn't have much in terms of brains but somehow hits her attraction triggers like Lone_Wolf mentioned. Obviously, you care very much for this girl, and she seems to care for you. As someone who is in a somewhat similar, though distinctly different, situation I know--as you do--that no words will dissuade you from pursuing this relationship, because no one else comes close to piquing your interests or desires like this girl does. She is also coming out of an abusive relationship so she may just want to take it easy and build up some long-term trust before she commits to anything firmly. I do agree with a previous poster from a previous thread that it is important that you not disparage yourself in front of her.
