@spice/waffle/anyone interested. ICON in Hudson is open. I had some time on my hands, so I just googled nearby clubs in Hudson and went down the list calling each club. Guy at ICON answered and said they'll take your temperature at the door and are only filling to 50% capacity.

I actually had a mission today to check out Emperors since they recently re-opened as a 'breastaurant', just to see if the club was as miserable as articles on clubs doing the same thing nationwide seem to be suggesting - that and their food actually is good. Their parking lot was busy all week and they advertised on their Facebook page frequently that they were open for bar and dining in.
But I pulled in with a friend today to see that they were closed. Nobody in the parking lot. But their Facebook page had posted 50 minutes before that they were open, so I was like "wtf" at the moment. Actually sent them a message asking why they're posting that they're open (assuming posts aren't scheduled. I don't think that's a FB thing you can do, but I could be wrong.) when they're actually closed. It was read, but they haven't responded.

Business at Doll House declined for a multitude of reasons:
1. As Mikey said, the location is problematic for high business: in the middle of a highway where people speed along and don't really have a chance to cruise by or give it more than a passing glance. For as long as I worked there, there were always customers that were under the assumption that DH was closed for good when it moved and had no idea it was in a different spot now.
2. Management. The fees and tip-out to dance at the DH are higher than the majority of clubs in Jax if they're not the highest (especially if you're a floater, where you're a dancer with no schedule. They pay double what the scheduled girls pay in fees.), which isn't a big deal if you're a top earner, but for any dancer that does average at best and only great once in a while, it's rather frustrating how big of a chunk of money you have to give out at the end of the night. Tipping DJ and House fee are mandatory, but tipping the bouncer, bartender, and waitress is heavily pressured - otherwise risk being public enemy #1 with the staff. They've had a waitress or two try to tell girls it was 'mandatory' to tip them and it has started some heated arguments. (When I danced at a bikini bar for the first time, the manager looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked how much to tip the bartender and simply said "... You don't.". LOL)
3. Floor rules here are almost too strictly enforced. Bouncer or DJ will bark at the girls if they even as much swing one leg over to rest it on the guy's lap even if they're literally the only customer in the club. I got deeply scolded once for just shaking hands with a customer for a second while I was on stage. For whatever reason, they're against having more than one girl dance nude on stage despite that it's competitor, Sinsations, can have up to four girls dancing on stage during their busiest nights.
4. At least on the night shift, the atmosphere is too low-hustle and mellow - even on weekend nights. There are very frequent complaints in reviews on multiple sites besides TUSCL of girls sitting amongst each other or by themselves using their phones when customers initially walk in and don't get approached by any for a while unless they tip a girl on stage. In fact, the low hustle is so common that when we actually get a dancer that approaches most of the customers at some point and successfully gets dances from them, the other girls will actually get bothered and argue that the working girl isn't giving the other (lazy) girls a chance with customers - chances that they never bother to hurry and take.
5. To add on to the mellow atmosphere because there's no alcohol, there are very mixed expectations on what music the DJ will play. Girls can dance to whatever they want, including very slow beat and chill songs that wouldn't fit at all in any strip club (dayshift maybe, but even then... Have You Ever Been In Love by Celine Dion... really? Lol). The night shift manager absolutely hates hip hop/rap music and will complain to the DJ if they play too much of it (like... more than 3 songs in a row.) so they don't really cater to the music demand that the club's clientele seems to enjoy the most. While the club plays some top hits, the not-club-ish music is so high that many custies also complain that the music taste along with the lacking dancer interaction sucks.
And what has the club done to try and counter the slowing business? Enforcing a dancer dress code (high heeled platforms and boots only, no messy hairstyles or updos except tight bun, clothes must be completely removed upon getting tipped to strip and not pushed to the side or scrunched down to show nudity.), telling girls they HAVE to applause each girl on stage after they finish their set, giving away club gear after buying a set of 5 or more dances, raising the private dance price from $25 to $30 a song, among other things that have done next to nothing to improve business.

I . . . don't think you got my point.
My point of suggesting legal brothels was that customers KNOW that the girls working are clean. With strippers or anyone that has sex, there's the whole trust system of assuming the partners are clean until proven otherwise with medical paperwork or going a week or several without a sudden rash.

Maybe give up fucking strippers and go to Nevada brothels instead, where by law the providers have to get tested weekly for majority of the sexual cooties.
Costs more, but risk less - as opposed to your spend less and risk more techniques.

I would just take an extended break from dancing if that happened near me. Who knows if management would cut down or partially waive the house fees for the dancers that would want to go back to work. If my imagination is working correctly, I'd probably make just as much if not less dancing in this setup than if I were to work a regular retail/minimum wage job.
Funny thing is that there are girls that are stupidly excited for this kind of setup at their club because customers "HAVE to respect their boundaries now and can't touch", and I'm just like . . . all the more reason for them to leave the club and go find something else to do.

Already went out. Burrito Gallery (awesome Mexican cuisine.) had dine in available on their outside patio, but no one could eat inside.
Then I went to Olive Garden. The parking lot was busy, yet it turned out all the drivers were just there for take out. There were only two or three other tables of people dining in besides myself.
Both places has mini menus cause food choices were limited. Thankfully, what I always get was on both of them.
