@scrub - I agree with your perspective. Most will eventually get it. Some will die even with care. The real risk is the number of people that will die because the hospitals cannot provide adaquate care. This is a totally different number then the number of people that will inevatibly get the virus and sucommb regardless of treatment. Anyone speaking in the terms will be skeward.

Initially the mandated closure may be a welcome respite by most mid and small size businesses. It gives them a good excuse not to service their established customer base with the added comfort of knowing their competition is also shutdown. Past two weeks though, there will be increasing social unrest as revenue drys. I suspect businesses will soon start to openly defy closure orders.

The 45 minute test should be a game changer. Well, that is if there was politics will. Open back up communities after everyone is tested. Sounds extreme but less extreme than what's happening

It will be interesting to see how long Americans are willing to adhere to all this economy shutdown chaos. Taking people's income is a sobering reality check. Polititions are in a no win position. If the shut down works everyone will say it was an overreaction. If it doesn't, everyone will say enough wasn't done. Regardless how it goes. I doubt Americans will ever allow a shutdown like this again no matter how dubious things look. We'll start to hear tangible grumbling very soon.

I've met dozens of young women for meals and only had one waiter ask our relationship. It's kind of a touchy situation. I'm reluctant to snarky with someone handling my food plus doing so could ruin a good vibe with the honey. If ever asked again, I'll just chuckle and ask what the specials are or something. It's none of their concern and they should know not to ask.

I won't pretend to know the severity of this thing but I do know people use panic like this to gain funding and power. 911 is a perfect example. Loss of personal freedom, unnecessary endless wars and increased military spending.
