Quite a few yards in my area are fully decked out with Halloween decorations right when October starts. I am not a fan. I have to drive by this shit every day for a month. OTOH I have enjoyed some of the costumes dancers wear at clubs that have Halloween parties. One time a favorite dancer had a sexy female cop outfit. She handcuffed me first and then got on her knees and took charge. It was kinda hot.

Yes there were efforts during the pandemic to address misinformation about the vaccine and alternative treatments, based on science, to help avoid surges in deaths and hospitalizations. These isolated examples are a far cry from some broad effort to limit free speech.

It is evident from current events that the US Military is by far the most consequential and respected force for democracy in the world today. That would change under Trump though, who has signaled his willingness to surrender to Putin in the name of "peace". Should that happen, the US will be viewed as weak.

There are a couple in NJ I swing by once every 3-6 months, and another couple I hit every 6-12 months. Mostly for a change of pace and out of curiosity to see what's up. The prospect of finding a new gem is sometimes a hopeful outcome, but I don't expect it and have no lack of options at my regular clubs.

It was easier for this debate to be more civil, because they were both attacking the other's running mate far more than each other. Walz had some very good hits but he still had a big miss, and Harris missed it too. What they both miss is addressing this talking point that "everything was great under Trump and let's just bring back those happy days". The response to this simplistic fairy tale is to point out the facts: Trump didn't build a strong economy, he inherited one from Obama. He rode on the coattails of Obama's economic recovery, and helped it slightly with a giant tax cut that mostly benefitted the rich, and exploded the deficit. Like Bush 43, he gave the next (Democratic) President a mess to clean up. Trump's plan for a second term is to rinse and repeat. Ride on Biden's economic recovery and ensure millionaires and billionaires benefit the most. Harris and Vance should focus more on this one.

Good overall debate and the more civil tone was refreshing. Walz had a couple of gaffes and stumbles. Vance bombed on abortion and democracy. No obvious clear winner.

If she's really your ATF then yes. One of my most treasured moments in this hobby was the first time I gave my ATF a gift. It was on Valentine's Day many years ago. ^^ No, Trump did not create the migrant surge. I think the answer is more a "what" than a "who". The main reason cited is deteriorating conditions in other countries, likely accelerated by the pandemic.

Right wingers keep pretending that it's 4 years that Dems didn't do anything. But Republicans won the House in 2022. Ever since, Republicans have been playing politics with the issue and blocking progress to get more resources and funding to address the migrant surge that started in 2021.
