The words Trump used were violent if not threatening, couched in Trump's classic style of plausible deniability that they were a direct threat. Truly pathetic coming from a presidential candidate.

Multiply that by a few years and you get near the 100B range. Republicans would have no problem ginning up outrage for this level of spending on things like the Ukraine war or illegal immigration. Given that Trump intends to give more massive tax cuts to the rich, Republicans are still very much the party of the rich. You just don't hear them talk about that part on the campaign trail, which is deliberate.

Team Trump has such great judgement of character, they brought this comedian Tony Hinchcliffe on stage, who made the following "joke": “There’s a lot going on. Yawn Harris had 23,000 in Georgia on Thursday. 30,000 in Texas on Friday, with over 1.5 million reportedly registered to attend the rally. It's really telling that the only people Trump can get to appear on stage with him at MSG are RFK Jr, Tucker Carlson, and Hulk Hogan.

It's a reasonable assumption that a Trump presidency will see a shift more in the family values direction, while a Harris presidency will see more acceptance of diversity.

I'm sure Putin would love the original article, and that he appreciates the help of willing Westerners to supplement his Russian network of propagandists to further his communist agenda. He is banking on a number of things in his quest to destroy and seize Ukraine: fatigue, resentment, and fear. Talk of WWIII and "Armageddon" fit right into his narrative. Well that is certainly a possible outcome that should be considered, and has been. It's precisely why the West has pursued the strategy of incremental escalation mentioned in the article. The NATO strategy while not perfect is deliberate and methodical. And Ukraine has done a remarkable job defending itself against a superpower many times larger. Speculation that Ukraine's army is not up to the job have been proven wrong time and again. We heard these comments earlier this year, and what happened since? Ukraine took control of 300 square miles of Russia in the Kursk region, the first time Russia has been invaded by a foreign army since WW II. The option of giving Putin a win in Ukraine, a man who is responsible for countless war crimes and atrocities in Russia's attacks on the Ukrainian people, is absurd and untenable to many people. Backing off in fear of WWIII just gives more incentive to Putin and other dictators to continue with their military quests.

It is even more of a yawnfest than I realized. CBS aired two versions of the interview, one on 60 Minutes and one on Face the Nation. Somebody noticed that they weren't identical and had different versions for this Q/A. Face the Nation had the version that supposedly made Harris look worse, while 60 Minutes had the version that supposedly made Harris look better. Seems like a tie to me. Yet Trump and his followers are outraged that 60 Minutes (supposedly) makes her look better? What about outrage that Face the Nation (supposedly) makes her look worse? LOL The big takeaway from this story is that Trump continues to con and dupe his followers.

^ As I understand it, CBS had two or three different versions of a Q/A with Harris in the interview, and according to some they chose the more favorable version to air. If Fox News did this with Trump or Vance, not only would I not be surprised, I doubt I would even think twice about it. This is a common difference between Dems and Repubs... the latter are far more likely to express outrage and grievance, and many Americans are tired of it.

These types of interviews typically get edited to fit into their programming time slot. It's nothing new. Fox News has probably done it many times, with a right wing bias.

There is little point trying to debate with the OP. He has proven himself over and over to be the most immature poster on TUSCL, as evident from his repeated name-calling of people he disagrees with, and his frequent declarations of "I won, you lost !" with occasional punctuations of "Hard stop. Period !" to reinforce he won an argument. LMAO such childish behavior.

Some of the numbers I'm seeing here are outrageous. I rarely do OTC stateside and I'll bide my time until the right conditions align to tempt me enough. I've seen a few club girls at 200-300. It's been awhile and that could be a bit higher now for them but not a lot. I'm currently in a rare situation where I have two offers from one of the top local clubs. One is a confirmed 500 for at least a couple hours, as we talked about taking our time and having a drink and bite to eat as well. The other I think I should square away the cost first, don't want to show up at her apartment and find out she was thinking double what I was. 500 to 600 max for 2-3 hours date w/ social time or movie is in the range I would consider. In all cases these would be arrangements with dancers I've got to know fairly well ITC first. Obviously, this familiarity is going to help, as long as you're not chasing the most popular dancers who make 4 figures a shift.

Susan Rice had an interesting comparison for Trump last week, calling him the GOP’s Neville Chamberlain. The British PM who tried to negotiate with and appease Hitler, who then just went on to seize more and more territory. 50 Billion going to Ukraine is 0.8% of the annual federal budget and 6% of the annual defense budget. And miniscule compared to the 2.2 Trillion increase in billionaire wealth since the 2017 Trump tax cuts. Instead of extending the Trump tax cuts for the rich, we could use some of that revenue to keep defending democracy abroad and supporting our allies. But somehow, today's GOP thinks it is more important to help the rich get richer, than maintaining our role as leader of the free world. No wonder Elon Musk was on stage with Trump, talking about a Trump win and jumping for joy.
