Around here its very seasonal. So it's hard to really assess the situation. I went on a little bit of a club hopping trip last weekend. I felt like quality was substantially down and clubs were noticeably slower. But, our clubs always slow down in the summer as the snowbirds return north. Things usually pick back up as the weather cools with Thanksgiving kinda being the major milestone to signal that they have returned. I can't tell if our clubs are still suffering from the summer slowdowns or if there as really been a lasting downturn. As far as clubs opening and closing, around here I think it's quite rare for either to happen. Sure, clubs fail all the time. And sure, truly new clubs are rarely open. But, the licensing seems to be what's really controlling the population. I'd say the number of clubs in Broward county where Pompano Beach is and Palm Beach hasn't really changed in about 20 years. Broward lost two, the old Solid Gold/Pure Platinum locations, but that's all I can think of. In Palm Beach the old Mermaid closed but they added what's now ORA about 5 miles away to keep the count the same. Most of the other changes were just one club failing and someone else coming in to the same location with a new one, in a few cases the license may have moved to a new neighborhood in the same county but a new municipality with more accommodating regulations. Dade county where Miami is is probably a pretty similar story, there's just too many damn clubs down there to keep track of so I'm not really confident as confident in saying it. We'll see what things look like the weekend after Thanksgiving and the following first weekend in December. Between the ones coming to visit family here for that, and the ones who wait till after celebrating with their families up north to come down, we should see a big uptick in demand. Since it corresponds with rent being due, we should have an uptick in supply. Then between the word getting out that there's money in the clubs and the need for money for Christmas presents and New Years celebrations, the next few weeks tend to boom a bit. I'm no expert, but I presume there are areas that are basically the exact opposite of here. When all those people come down here, the clubs somewhere have to be emptying. And I'd guess they might empty out a little earlier, as guys in lower mileage areas start saving up a little to take advantage of what's on offer down in liberal south Florida. Perhaps you guys up north are seeing the start of that now & having a little "the sky is falling" moment when it's just seasonal ebb? I know I've had a few of those this summer and had to remind myself what time of year it was.

A lot of people don't agree with this rule of thumb, but in south Florida where ITC extras are very common, I typically pay somewhere around the cost of a room. So if it's a girl working in a club where the typical room price is 50 for the room + 150-250 for her, I usually expect to pay 200-300 for OTC. A nicer club with more expensive rooms or higher tip expectations usually means the girls are expecting more for OTC too. It's a general guideline, absolutely not a hard and fast rule. But it tends not to vary too much. I could afford an occasional 2k romp, but I've never paid more than around 500 that I remember and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Certainly not when I can see her or someone comparable ITC for 1/4-1/2 the price. You didn't ask, but I pretty much immediately stop talking to any girl who wants to get specific about the amount of time she's going to spend. If you introduced time into the equation, that's fine. But if she brought it up, I'd cut bait. Those girls almost never work out. They behave like escorts, the whole thing is super mechanical and they're trying to check items on the to-do list instead of just naturally engaging. It results in a worse than ITC experience.

Solid Gold in Pompano hires older strippers. Porthole Pub does some too. Complete opposite style of clubs. Further south no place really stands out as having a lot of older gals, further north Rachels has some mid to late 30's ladies usually and sometimes Ultra. Not really my cup of tea, so I could very well be missing some places.

I'm curious, what day/time? On Fri/Sat nights they get a little fussy, especially during season. I don't go here frequently, but I've been in the past 90 days or so and I'm sure I was wearing golf shorts and tennis shoes and didn't get a 2nd look. I'm not trying to defend this club, cause I do agree it's really not that great anymore. Used to be they had a club backed with stunners, but nowadays they're solidly middling. If you're into more the club scene, it ain't bad, but as a strip joint, I wouldn't bother. @Context, how young and how old? I can see guys in their 20's liking women in their 30's for that reason. But I don't see a lot of guys in their 30's or 40's being into chicks in their 40's or 50's, that's usually the realm of guys in their 60's and 70's. Again, not being judgemental, it's perfectly fine if you're in your 20's and into chicks 20-30yrs older than you. But I think that's a small enough minority where there aren't enough of you to support many older strippers. While around here there's enough of a seniors market that I think a club could only admit 55 and over and only hire 40 and over. They could be open only 7am to 7pm or something. Hell, I might have just stumbled onto a winning business idea.

Tastes/preferences are probably the #1 reason, by a long shot. The dancer you mention is probably barely a 7 my book, if we're talking my personal tastes she's a 6 at best. I wouldn't buy a $5 dance from her. I'm not trying to be judgemental or anything, you probably feel the same about the girls I call a 9. I don't think one of our preferences is better or more correct. It may be somewhat related, but after that it's probably a combo of desperation and the fact that they can be successful. At some of the lower tier clubs, I see women in their 50's who are way below what I'd consider fucking even with beer goggles on. And I probably couldn't get a shot with them at the club if I wanted to, they've got devoted followers. I'm not sure if they're undercutting market prices or doing things other girls don't, but I can tell ya there's some fat/old/ugly bitches that are pulling in serious cash. Age is gonna be my number three. I don't see that many truly ugly strippers. I see a lot of fat ones, which I chalk up to taste. And I see a lot of old ones, which I guess is taste too. But during day shift particularly, those older strippers tend to be popular with the older crowd. I can't speak to it and I'm sure there are guys here who can, but I notice a good bit of the 70+ yr old customers spending time with the 40+ yr old dancers. Maybe that comes back to taste again, but I can totally see how a 70 something may prefer a 40 something over a 20 something, even if I find the 40 something one unattractive. As far as pornstars go, a Racquel Darrian in her prime is more my speed. I'm sure there's a more recent example but I never really remember those porn chicks names these days.

I routinely leave with money, even if I had a good time. I'm not a believer in only bringing the money I plan to spend. I don't bring more than I can afford to spend, but I'll often have enough for an extra round in room that I'm not planning on. I tend to go earlier in the afternoon, spend some time chit-chatting, then do a room. I'll often hang out a bit more after. Sometimes, a cutie comes in late and we hit it off and I want to go again. I could and have used the ATM in those cases, but I prefer to just have the cash on hand. Other times, we make arrangements for OTC instead of ITC but still have fun chatting and doing a few dances.

I have the same benefit, but I rarely use it. I'm a cheap bastard, especially when it comes to nickel and dime fees like ATM surcharges, but I never really avoided the ATM in a strip club for that reason. I don't like strip club ATM's mostly cause I don't want the location stamp on my statement. And I usually come prepared, but on rare occasions where an opportunity comes up and I feel like indulging, the 10-20 bucks in fees aren't going to be the dealbreaker.

I'm not a fan of sugar in spaghetti sauce. I've noticed it's something the Cuban girls seem to like, but hadn't really noticed before then. It's not something I'd judge someone over, and it's not like I'd spit it out if I ate it. But I don't like it. But really I'm commenting to agree with Muddy's comment about soda. I don't take a hard line on no sugar in anything, but drinking soda regularly does seem to numb your pallet to sweetness. Cutting out soda and allowing some time to recalibrate totally changes things. Drink a glass of sweet tea before you cut out soda, then drink another one with the same amount of sugar after going a few weeks with no soda and you'll be shocked. And it totally impacts everything you eat, you start noticing sweetness in tons of other foods and foods designed to be sweet aren't nearly as appealing. I can't jump on board with the seltzer drinking, but 100% agree about the soda part.

In my experience, the Pompano clubs are the best all around. That doesn't mean there isn't a club in another area that may may be more fun or at least worth visiting. It depends what you're in to. Like Vixens does a lot of the more cabaret type stuff, with acrobatic, cirque du soleil type entertainment and higher than typical percentage of dancers who speak English. Scarlet's focuses more on the DJ and party vibe. E11ven is similar and often has live musical entertainment. But you're giving up something, maybe day shift or extras. Or spending a lot more. Maybe you don't care about those things. There's a lot of strip clubs down here, while some are objectively better than others which one is best among the top clubs is largely subjective to tastes and preferences.

I don't like it, but I understand it. It's been discussed here ad-nauseam. It's fine to not get dances from them, but I wouldn't let it annoy you. I'd also say, I'm sure dancers feel the same way. It's not altogether uncommon for me to spend some time on my phone while in the club. I might not be interested in what's on stage at the moment, or I might want to respond to some emails/messages without leaving, or any number of things. I've had quite a few dancers become visibly annoyed that I was on my phone and not paying attention to them. I've heard them go on rants about "broke guys sitting around on their phones all day" more times than I can count.

A lot of the south Florida Cuban girls get that shit done as much as a status symbol as anything else. It's similar mentality to getting flashy nails "hey look at me, I'm doing so well I can afford to blow money on trivial shit to make me look pretty."
