I was just in TJ this past weekend, and didn't notice any difference from my last trip in December. I went over and back once a day over the course of four days without any issues on either end. There was the same amount of Americans in the club, which is still most of the clientele. In fact, on Saturday, there was a group of five blonde sorority college chicks behind me crossing the border into Tijuana. If they don't feel unsafe by themselves, I think it's fine for now.

Pretty much what Yoda and Tiredtraveler said. Anything extra is tough to come by. No privacy at any club (haven't been to Desire in a year). Such a shame.

Very similar situation happened to me two years ago in a Providence club when the girl came out of the blue and point black offered sex. Of course, nowadays, that would never happen. Such a shame how vice laws ruin adult fun.

I went to the clubs just after the Cheaters closing on August 10 and everything is very tight. This is particularly true at Fantasies were the VIP rooms now have open windows for bouncers to check on you. I never got to go to Cheaters and from what I hear, it's closing is not a big loss. But there's a ripple effect going through Providence and that's the part that sucks.

My favorite by far is Cadillac Lounge. I actually would recommend it the most because it's not as much as a 'regulars' club as others. You'll get plenty of attention there, unlike what I've noticed at Desire. You can always just say no to the dancers you aren't interested in. Foxy Lady and Club Fantasies is okay as well, but if I'm an out-of-towner,Cadillac is where I go.

I was 22 and I went to Centerfolds in Boston for a friend's birthday. I remember just being amazed that there was a place that had fully naked women. When everyone got up to leave and go to a real bar, I almost wanted to stay behind. Since then I've been to several different strip clubs and all of them except two have been superior to Centerfolds, but my love affair was born that night.

I usually go shortly after opening so I actually like it better, being by myself or one of the few. Like Rod said, if I'm at the stage alone, I get extra attention. Also, I can have my pick of girls. I'm not afraid to approach, if the dancers are just standing around and I don't have a problem with saying no.

You can get plenty of stuff from kissing, but AIDS? No. I thought we had successfully debunked most of the false AIDS worries in the 80s.

@ edepsiz: You're right; I'm a bit neurotic and tend to overthink things. I should've phrased my question as "Do you prefer going alone?" instead of insinuating there was something automatically weird about it.

Of these three, I'd vote for Desire. But my personal favorite Providence club is Cadillac Lounge. Though I haven't experienced any extras myself, I know that they are available and the girls are better looking than Desire's. I'm not sure why Cadillac Lunge doesn't have a higher rating here.
