A weekend bump-up on the cover seems to have spread through the city, if the various recent reviews are any sign.

spend too much on dancers 🤯
Does anyone just go to strip clubs NOT for extras? Just to watch?
Nothing crazy at all about it -- as others have said better than I could, not everyone HAS to be looking for the same thing, especially when there is a range of choices and if you're happy with what you're getting and she is happy with what she's getting, well, what's wrong with that? And even an extras-hound will have a night that he just happens to feel like just enjoying the scenery, so to speak, or talking shit over drinks in between laps but no further.

Quality of dancers: lower than in the 80s and 90s?
Little to add but that it must be a combination of all the factors mentioned -- demographics change both of performers and clientele, our own subjective past perception; the move of performers towards OF and similar venues; changes in local sociopolitical acceptability ("this suburb is redeveloping, can't have a titty bar between the megachurch and Whole Foods"); the '08 crash and the consequent changing economic model as the businesses sought to make up the loss (and then 2020 came...), etc.

    Lauren Boebert in the news.....
Now, now, lads, haven't we heard it before, "don't put it in the crazy"... though in her case it seems it's more of a case of dumb-as-a-box-of-dildos. To be fair to the good citizens of the district, she was * almost * made a one-termer, her reelection was like the narrowest squeaker of a win in the whole House for 2022.

Why are Strip Clubs still popular in US?
Every form has its pluses and minuses. I'd rather we have all these choices. As stated, the SC provides a range of entertainment depending on what you are in the mood for, and you have the baseline of just looking and tipping while hanging out at a bar, or going up the ladder as it were.

Let me join the choir here in being glad to see you and wishing you all good things as life moves along. It is also good to see this sense of community concern. But yeah, I dig, been there myself in my journey, with other interests that I could not allow to continue taking up so much of my attention, some times because Real Life demanded it, some times because I myself noticed I was burning out, and some times because the activity itself and how I enjoyed it changed. (I was never ever anywhere close to the level of Papi or others here, but I myself had a virtual dropoff here because life circumstances led to a period of staying put and not exploring, so there was nothing really to add.) Nuevamente, me alegró saber de ti y te deseo todo lo mejor.

    Great Dancers, but not cheap
You mentioned about not being sure if there was a fee for breaking bills into ones -- have had a couple visits to Cloakroom and been able to do so with no "cut" though I always do tip the person doing it.

OK,there's got to be some special award for such an Epic review. This is like some sort of TUSCL Feature Presentation Special from a reliable and trusted source. Good to see such a multiple update of the scene that I had been cruelly kept away from so long, in one place. PC you are a Hall of Famer, sir. Also pleasing to hear that the Hallandale Cheetah is staying at the high end of contact in this new normal. And that when I next head there I should be prepared to face a "hard sell" ;)

No nonsense and beautiful Latin girls
justiceslighted - there is a tiered system. There are plain single-dance shared booths at $25, 3-song non-shared booths with not much more space but certainly more privacy and service at between 125-250, and then "real" VIP room space. The 3-song level is very, how shall we say, "results-oriented" so that's about it.

Fun Friday Night, pretty much the same as it was pre-Covid
What you are noticing is that they are collecting from you the $25 they have to pay back to the club for the private space -- and as Warrior15 said they were doing that already before the lockdown.

First day back from C19 not sure if it's alayws like this. But I wish I could find a place to hang out like this as a reg.
Papi, we may have to see some more reports to find out what will be the "new normal". In the Manhattan clubs of the Ricks chain (like Hoops is), back in the Age of Normality the baseline used to be $20/dance at your table or the wall couch on the main floor. Or you could head upstairs to private at about $360 per half hour so that last part does not seem so vastly different -- except for maybe having added the 15-min variation? I don't recall a 15-min option when I last did the NYC clubs.

What precautions will you take once the clubs are open for business?
Depending on how long this goes on it may be that some choices about what will be proper cauttion will not be ours to make. If it takes a long time to cool off, including if rates stop rising but only level off and don't fall back for months on end, it may cause a general reset on expectations and offer. But, yeah, a whole bunch of people will be extra aware of exactly what's contacting what and it will be in their mind that probably someone else was there earlier in the evening...

    When clubs reopen
Agreed that a key factor will be how long will either forced shutdowns or a general recession sticks around. Previous natural disasters (as in Katrina/NOLA) were localized events, where getting back in business was part of a general recovery effort. Previous hard economic downturns (2008) did not involve whole cities or industries being put on lockdown for weeks. In both cases there could be a cull of the weak businesses but the market remained in place and both customer demand and dancer supply could redistribute as-it-happened. If this lasts long and people begin having to dip into reserves or seek other income, it will also cause displacement: dancers and staff may have to head for somewhere else. Plus yes, local authorities may sock it to this business even harder for the sake of "public health".

Updating club details for club closures.
True on the later bit, Jabberwock, insofar as public health measures... not much to do about that. As to the licenses it seems in most locked-down locations so far there is also simultaneously an extension on license renewals other non-urgent transactions during the immediate stage.

Yeah the girls at Tootsie's will hit you with a ludicrous opening bid for the private room and the services that are officially not supposed to happen. Can't blame them for trying I suppose but, really, ladies... And like Papi said, it is a bit tourist-trappy -- maybe because it endured while the rest of the upper Dade scene either withered or got itself into the whole "superlounge" thing. OTOH if you're feeling like just tipping at the rail and checking out the goods on display onstage while having your drink, and an ocassional visit to the $25 booth, it's not bad for that. And they do have the feature that you are able to head to the sportsbar if you feel like catching a break from nekkid wimmin at some point in the evening.

LOL Papi yeah, it's choosing to threaten the coast above Boca... but just a slight variation and our blessed Pompano, land of many establishments, can get clobbered. I got family up above WPB so watching very warily. So still, best wishes for ALL in FloriDuh and here's hoping all you do is get wet so by next weekend you can be doing what it takes to help the economy recover one tip at a time.

    Reviews
One of the reasons I have hardly posted new reviews in the last couple of years is because, besides not doing anywhere even close as much SC-ing as before, that little which I do is focused on places I've been to before, so I get the feeling it would be just repetitive, both of my own previous reviews and other people's, unless there has been a major change or something really struck me as worth pointing out. Otherwise nowadays I am likelier to go to the commentary section to say something like "you're right, it's changing for the worse" or "really, the fair price should be $XYZ". (BTW, hunker down, Papi and other FloriTUSCLers...)
