First day back from C19 not sure if it's alayws like this. But I wish I could find a place to hang out like this as a reg.

So Hoops just opened back up on Sept 30 due to the pandemic. I happened to be in the city and walked by and Hoops (and Ricks right next door had bouncers outside). I decided to check it out and since I had someone mention Hoops to me some time ago I decided that was where I would check out. I haven't been to a club in a good while,, especially with everything being closed down so I figured the stars aligned and I would give it a try.

I was concerned the girls would be really push and aggressive but I was surprised. They took my temp via non contact gun thing everyone is using on the wrist. Escorted me in and explained how thing were going on with the new rules. They had a limited food menu and ask you wear a mask if you are not eating or drinking. No seats at the bar tables were spread apart with some couch and table things along the walls. Across from the bar are a few tables with 2-3 chairs. If you sit at the bar tables they automatically bring out a basket of french fries for you. I did eat from the menu because one of the girls said the food is usually pretty good. I had a flat bread pizza and it good. Some other people at a table were having a burger and they were talking about how awesome it was so I am guessing everything is decent. I had some whiskey and a few beers. Shot was 10 for the whiskey and beer was 10 for a bottle. I would say thats on par with most places in the city I have been so pricing was fair, we do a little better on the jersey side of the hudson with pricing when going to a club.

There were only me and 3-4 other guys at any time at any one time i can remember. The girls would come by and have a drink and chat but not pushing for dances or anything. I got there around 4 pm. The do have a small single stage with a pole. Not too many girls were using it early on but they did start announcing them later in the day and they would dance. Note you are not allowed to sit at the stage no chairs but they let you walk up and drop some money if you want. I want to say I saw 4-5 girls for sure earlier on. But later the one I was hanging out with and did a few dances with Lauren I'm pretty sure left and a few more came in. There might have been 6-7 girls total that day. I had only planned on staying for a little while and grabbing a drink to check it out. Ended up missing my train leaving at 1030 or 11. Bartenders were cool and on point. They kept coming up to the table and checking up. I spoke with several other girls for a good while for just a drink or two worth they didn't ask or push. I was upfront with them and said I didn't think I was stopping in so I didn't plan for the trip and they understood still hung out and chatted. They said cool but since it was dead anyway I'm sure a couple of drinks and light conversation was alright. Overall It was much better than I expected. Very chill and laid back. I will try going back and hoping it doesnt change too much since I liked the ease and calm of the whole thing.
