Do you go to a club looking for a dancer that was mentioned in a review?
Between dancer turnover and erratic schedules, I never go to a club looking for a specific dancer. Once I get to a club, I do find it helpful to have some guidance on the dancers, especially who is a ROB, who has GPS, who gives terrible vs. excellent dances. TUSCL reviews are one source of information but I know that tastes differ and dancer performance may vary across time and across customers -- thus I consider lots of other factors in selecting private dances.

    New Orleans newbie
In my one and only visit to the Penthouse in NOLA, I was asked to sign a document stating that sexual contact was NOT allowed in any private dance. This was shortly after a number of French Quarter Clubs were busted for prostitution. I don't know if Penthouse (or any other clubs) is still doing this as I never returned to the club, in spite of a line up of reasonably attractive dancers. I would second Longball's recommendation of Mothers-- nothing fancy, just great food.

So would you get a dance from a thick, big booty dancer who used the name "F150?"

    I like maple syrup!
An important step forward from my perspective. The issue should be about consent or lack thereof, not about the exchange of money or other valuable items. Most sex liaisons involve some exchange of valuable items or services (e.g., promises of love and support, shelter, dinner and a movie, or cash!). so make that legal and take the criminal element out of this market so that women who choose to sell sexual services can do so safely.

What happens when an unpublished review is rejected?
Shadowcat--- you are correct about names not being attached to unpublished reviews. However, I have seen some reviews that I originally rejected showing up a day or two later in an updated set of unpublished reviews. When I look at the new unpublished version, it is often expanded or improved (although I don't have access to the original submission to do a side by side comparison of improvements). If the above impressions are correct, that is the way the review process should work-- the writers of an rejected review have the opportunity to improve and resubmit their review. Hope this is the way the system is actually working.

To my knowledge, champagne rooms are private. As a result, some (not all) of the dancers will provide pretty good services in the champagne room.

    Anal
About 40% of women have tried anal or have expressed an interest in trying it. https://www.menshealth.com/sex-women/a19527855/how-many-women-are-having-anal-sex/ Ive had offers of ITC anal from a number of dancers. If the woman has some anal experience, cleanliness should not be a barrier. Of course a condom and lubricant are recommended.

FC requires dancers to pay a pretty hefty fee; some of these costs are passed on to the customer. If taken to the extreme, these fees will discourage dancers and drive away customers to the other more moderately priced clubs in the area. Breakdown of Fees and Fines
Very helpful post Waffle. As one of the FC customers who has complained about the prices, it is helpful to know where to focus those complaints--- squarely on greedy management, although I'm not giving a pass to some of the dancers who quote exorbitant rates. So, what's the "solution?" Should the overcharged dancers seek employment elsewhere; Landing Strip and Criket are pretty close? Should the customers seek entertainment elsewhere? Or is there a niche for a high end club for high rollers?

The Nordic model of prostitution laws?
Interesting history. Thanks davephx. It does not paint a very optimistic picture for mounting a legal defense of prostitution charges. I've never had any legal issues but it saddens me to think of all the wasted resources and disrupted lives that have resulted from efforts to prevent consenting adults from exchanging sex for money (or other valuables).

The Nordic model of prostitution laws?
If prostitution laws are so difficult to enforce and prosecute, why don't we hear of lawyers who specialize in defending those accused of soliciting (like the lawyers who specialized in DUI cases) and why don't we hear of more mongers getting off from solicitation charges?

    December Visit
You think that other strip clubs in the area would get the memo--- smoking drives away a number of customers. That is one of my main reasons for visiting Criket (and Flight Club)--- most of both clubs are smoke free (other than a designated smoking area).

The Nordic model of prostitution laws?
Thanks to Davephx for the history of the Nordic model in Canada. Two follow up questions, if you're willing to share your expertise/opinion: 1) is there any evidence that the C36 Nordic model has reduced trafficking, without ensnaring consenting adults 2) would the same result have been achieved by legalizing and regulating prositution?

The Nordic model of prostitution laws?
Ishmael's link to the Providence trafficking case is disturbing. I'd like to remove any and all aspects of human trafficking from the globe, but I fear that the well-intentioned human trafficking crusaders have equated prostitution with human trafficking. I'm not convinced that they are one and the same. Nor am I convinced that the Nordic model (or any of the legal crackdowns on prostitution) actually reduces human trafficking. From my somewhat biased perspective, trafficking is about consent, really the lack thereof. Trafficking obviously applies to underage victims who cannot legally consent. But it also applies to anyone who is being forced via violence or threats of violence and harm (including harm to family members or threats of deportation) to engage in any kind of labor, sexual services included. To me, it is not the exchange of money but the coercion that is of concern. Of course defining coercion is also a slippery slope. Violence and threats of harm are obviously coercive but can a person be "coerced" through purely positive means (e.g., a hefty cash offer for a person who is otherwise destitute)? Possibly. But that's a different topic.
