Patience is a virtue especially with Alexis!

Detroit is pulling me in for a 6 month rotation and so I was here for an entire week during Christmas. I’ll be visiting off and on over the next 6 months and so decided to spend my nights at Bogarts.

The place is a total dive bar which I love. The drink hustle can be annoying but once you connect with the staff it’s not as bad and you understand it. As long as you got a drink in front of you they pretty much are chill. Shot girls will keeping coming by but just have fun with it and you’ll enjoy the banter that comes from it.

So the place is as has been scribed many times but in case this is your first read of it. $5 cover, beers are about average $6.75. Very solid often they call out a $5 special and you can have any drink for $5. Door guys as you walk in checks ID and charges the $5 and hands you a ticket. Raised level to your left with 2 main stages, you’ll hear the DJ call out dancers up top and on side. Up top is the main center one that’s the largest, sides is one on that raised the other one is right by the restrooms nearest the DJ booth. Bar is along the entire left side and VIP is up stairs literally behind you as you walk in, it’s $10 to get a bracelet that allows you access the rest of the night. Rooms vary in sizes and just have basic stackable chairs. Not comfortable at all but it works.
