December Visit

I was on business for a last trip of the year in The Detroit area and had some free time in the late afternoon before catching a flight. I first did a stop at Henry N. but quickly bailed. The entertainers I saw did not do it for me and I wanted to not smell like smoke anymore than I had to. So I took a quick trip down the road to The Silver Criket (now just The Criket). I’ve always been curious about the name of this place and why they dropped the Silver from the name. Anyway I parked in the back with the free parking which is a big plus. The place can be hard to see off Michigan Ave but I always look fro the McDonald’s on the corner and turn back this road and make a left onto the back street behind the club.

Arrived around 5:30 so I beat the cover which I think is $10 after 7 or 8. I made sure not to wear a coat to avoid any coat check plus I just don’t like dropping my coat off at places like this. I grabbed a table between the bar and stage and ordered a Coors Light which was $7 or so but I just gave the gal a $10 including the tip. There appeared to be about 10 dancers working and about 1/2 were AA which seemed higher than past visits so I’m not sure if things are changing here or just the afternoons. The range in dancers was 5-7 and some I just did not want to make eye contact with so they wouldn’t come over. I did not have a lot of time and could not be too selective today. When the one better look gal made her way to my table I did not hesitate. She was white maybe 30 years old and not a spinner but not as heavy as some of the other dancers there. I told her I was just interested in some good contact dances today but extras seemed to be available. Paid the $10 entry fee thing which is still something I’m not used to here. I did 5 dances for $100 total which I negotiated beforehand. Good contact and she was topless on the first dance and totally nude on the second. Again extras were available and she pushed a little but I passed. Great 5 dances and best part was that I did not smell like a cigarette when I left. In an out within an hour and off to the airport. I’ll be back again next year when I get in the area.
