You can go back in time to any era...^ We could do anything we wanted or buy anything we wanted when we were kids; as long as we paid for it using money we had earned. After selling greeting cards door to door, after my paper route, after mowing lawns all summer and shoveling snow all winter, I worked at Exxon, Delitizer, Brighams, Franklin Simon, Woolworth's Ken's Steakhouse (you may know the salad dressing) and Kennedys before I was 18.

You can go back in time to any era...^^Nice when I read about life in the 70s I am always struck by how different my experiences were. Maybe because I grew up in a shitty neighborhood, then a shitty rural neighborhood, but my experiences were pretty fucking basic and simple. Drink beer, smoke weed, drive around in the car, get in fights with no permanent damage and look for women every minute of every fucking day. Everything was face to face. plans were made and kept. Promiscuity was mainstream. Hitchhiking was transport.
A perfect movie which shows what high school life was like (minus the paddle bullshit, I grew up in MA. not TX.) is 1993's Dazed and Confused. It depicts one night, but for us that was life 4-5 days a week school year and every day in the summer.

I feel like I dodged a bullet by not getting marriedThe happily married guys here look at this as entertainment. To me it's like poker or golf or skiing. It is something I enjoy in my free time. I won't be playing in the main event, the U.S. Open or skiing Corbett's and I won't be looking at any stripper as a date, spouse, lover.
For other guys here strippers, massage, FKK clubs are a substitute for a wife, not an adjunct. We're different.

You can go back in time to any era...BOOK - we were out riding one day near Amherst Mass. A flock of birds flew across the road - I saw one come directly at me and instead of going high the idiot went low and the rear tire got him. Just popped into my head.

You can go back in time to any era...University of Massachusetts (Zoo Mass.) in it drug and alcohol fueled heyday of 1975-1979. I would join Phi Sigma Kappa and enjoy the 18-year-old drinking age, the easy, free sex, the no aids, the no herpes, the no need for condoms because all the women were on the pill. I would enjoy Tuesday night ten cent draft night at Barselotti's. I would buy a Pub mug for $3.00 and enjoy quarter beers in it every Wednesday. I would sell weed and have an income of a free ounce and $120.00 cash every week, at a time when the minimum wage was $2.50 an hour. I would love to ride my motorcycle, even after I ran over a bird in flight. I'd enjoy going to the Blue Wall, drinking forty-five cent beers, getting in for free and watching "The Cars". The next month I'd go to the "Hatch" and see Elvis Costello and the following month I would go back to the frat during Intermission of The Kinks to do shots because it was 50 yards from the fine arts center. I'd enjoy having the frat bar open at 1:00 a.m. and see all the drunk girls flood in for alcohol and dancing. I would thank God that I had drunk girls, weed, and a bedroom two flights up every weekend of my college life. Lastly I would like to go to our spring bash as a guest, just one time, and not work it. We were limited to a 6 hour liquor license by the school, permitting us to sell beers in our backyard. 365 kegs. 6 hours. That was the 70s.

Do you believe the GOP will ban Strip Clubs ?We start of discussing the banning of strip clubs and when we find out it's a state issue we bring up digital porn and blame evangelicals, proving once and for all that progressives are the single largest group of incurable douchebags on the planet.

Do you believe the GOP will ban Strip Clubs ?This is worse than the view. Pornography is Constitutionally protected so without a constitutional amendment or a new court case, it cannot be banned. Secondly, all the media Hysteria over Dobbs, was left-wing media hysteria, not knowledgeable and true commentary and as such everyone failed to figure out that Dobbs protects strip clubs from the Federal Government. Why? the 10th amendment. Same as abortion. There is not, never was and cannot be a federal right or Federal ban on abortion without a constitutional amendment. It is a state issue, not Federal. Same with pornography and why every strip club locale is different. State issue under the Constitution.

I feel like I dodged a bullet by not getting marriedI play a lot of poker, with a lot of single guys of all ages. The idea their life is more exciting than mine is funny. Marriage takes an effort, like a job, like a career, like raising children, like golf, like winning poker. Like all these other things, the rewards are worth it. watching your friend chase women and then give them money for sex isn't exciting to other people. Yesterday I got the best bj evah, but remained amazed thay in 50 years of strip clubbing wife still blows em all away. oh yeah, then we played the 9 hole course up the street and went out to lunch.

I feel like I dodged a bullet by not getting marriedDomestic violence rates are the same now as they have always been. Laws don't change behavior. More women followed the June Cleaver mode back then because family and children were far more important then and not just mere words that mean nothing. No one wants to hear the truth, but the truth is it's not women, you're relationships reflect your effort. If the men here put the same effort into marriage that they do clubbing they would feel opposite. It's mind boggling to me that people always search for something better when they know it really isn't.

Sloppy secondsZero interest in what a dancer does before or after I am with her. This is her job and my entertainment, not a relationship. If you're squeamish and don't think you've ever done sloppy fifths, you're delusional.

I feel like I dodged a bullet by not getting marriedI can honestly say I have pretty much done as I pleased my whole life. I work for myself. I paid for my school. I live a pretty much upper middle class lifestyle with poker 10-15 time a month, strip club 7-8, times am month, golf, dinner out vacation, nice house.
Have been with my wife for almost 35 years. She got very ill earlier this year and it looked like my time with her was running short. I had an epiphany: without her everything I have done in my life and I everything I have would be meaningless and of no value. Life without her would be devoid of joy, devoid of love and devoid of the reason I get up every day to face the world. I made one correct decision in my life: getting married to my lovely wife.

Do you believe the GOP will ban Strip Clubs ?There cannot be a federal law on prostitution, for the same reason there is no national standard, by law, for what constitutes drunk driving. These are state's rights issues under the 10th amendment. If I go on a strip club visit out of state, it's to a red state for fun, or a red area. Providence is the liberal outlier, but it is an Italian city, so it's fun, unlike here in Irish Massachusetts, where it is lame.

Is Joe Biden going to be the Democratic nominee?Under Obama, Russia invaded Crimea. Under Boden Russia invaded Ukraine. Under Trump Russia invaded no one. Those re plain facts and failing to recognize and accept them is beyond ridiculous. It is reason number 4,829 of why I would never consider anyone identifying as a Democrat seriously.
