Wondering how do PLs / men meet in person? (I'm near Tampa but a generic questn

Posting this is likely the best approach, unless you also want to read the reviews of Tampa clubs to identity PLs who appear to reside in/near Tampa.

Many guys on here, though, club alone, not even with friends, so most would decline such opportunity. However, there have been meetups periodically,

just post where you are gonna be. no guarentees but it can happen. i for one don't mind meeting another member for a minute or two.

I'm actually going to be in Tampa for work for a couple of days coming up soon. I posted about it here tuscl.net . Maybe you can answer what club is best to do this at.

I will be staying near Westshore, and I know they had redone the Penthouse since last time I was there, but its too good of a club for me to do that at, so I was thinking trying one of the shitholes on Dale Mabry. I also dont mind if I have to go across to Clearwater either.

I've met up with other TUSCLers a few times.

Understand, there's not a ton of us who are active, and it's a big country. So finding another TUSCLer in any given area at any given time is tougher than you'd expect.

Be active in the discussions in your area and invite others to meet you, is all I would suggest, basically what others have already said.

There have been semi-official TUSCL meetups in the past. I recall intending to go to one (IIRC it was to be in Detroit) but something at work got in the way at the last minute. On another occasion, I heard from a few mongers in person via TUSCL PM system when I was in Tampa Bay area in 2017 or there-about, but we never managed to actually encounter one another. We missed each other partly due to reticence on my part, partly on theirs; I went to one or two of the clubs they suggested but nobody matched their descriptions. There's somewhat a distinction between a different ways of meeting. There's a "meetup" where everybody has agreed, well in advance, to dedicate a given weekend for a trip across the country (usually via airplane flight) to a particular city and set of clubs (dunno if "meetup" ought to be the official term, call it whatever you want). Then there's a more individual encounter, where two or three given mongers contact one another last-minute via personal-messaging.

I'd like to schedule something for the Pompano Beach area. I need an excuse, and I need cover, so if anyone's going to be there, help me out. I don't play golf so that won't be a plausible excuse. Some kind of conference or community service project or something ...

In my 23+ years of posting on TUSCL I have met more than 60 other members. Most of them were at Follies. Most were the result of them sending me messages asking if I was interested in meeting at the club. I met almost all of them.

I was also involved in 2 "conventions" at the Columbia SC Platinum Plus that we promoted on the TUSCL discussion board. We managed to get 6 or 7 members to show up.

I have had times at Vivide, my now go to club, when 5 of us have shown up at the same time by communicating in advance.

It's difficult to do because of work schedules and travel time etc. I now have 2 other members beside myself that are retired and live in the area. So we manage to meet up quite often.

The biggest drawback from meeting with others is that it makes hooking up with the dancers of your choice a little difficult but if you are meeting with veterans it is not that bad and I never pass up the opportunity to bull shit with the guys. I can still work the girls in.

I’ve met many TUSCLers, over the years, most were good guys, a few became close friends, meeting folks here is easier because usually everyone eventually comes down to South Florida. Having a good conversation about this hobby is always a plus.

We all meet with a few like minded people in the clubs but I had never asked if they are in TUSCL or not. But, the discussions here are fantastic

Do yourself a favor and don't lol. At best they will be and cringe on the inside as they lie to you. At worst they'll think "tussle" is some gay dating site and try to fight you for hitting on them.

Dancers used to be a lot more aware of online reviews, but now there's so much garbage online and they can easily counter program via IG and OF that bad reviews just kinda roll of their back. If they're hot at least.

But in all seriousness to the OP, if you're around Tampa you've got TUSCLers active on the boards near you. funontheside already mentioned reading the reviews and reaching out. Your account is still a little new, but at least you've written reviews and seem like a decent enough dude.

I think for some, friendships or at least TUSCL acquaintances happen organically because people PM back and fourth. It does seem like when people are more willing to meet up, it’s been the tusclers in the sunbelt areas like Phoenix/different parts of Texas/Atlanta/Miami.

It’s nuts to me how in some places like Rhode Island,those tusclers gossip all the time about the club on here like it’s a 6th grade sleepover night, but haven’t really met up irl? Though I have heard of some Detroit people meeting up I think like a decade ago.

I think the area people on this site are ga ga about is Pasco county? Maybe you could try for a meetup in a club out there

A TJ meetup makes sense. There’s safety in numbers and I’d only ever want to go south of the border with someone who knew the ropes.

Usually club solo or with friends/coworkers.

There are probably 6-10 Desires regulars here and the only one I think I recognize from here would be OWG. I always assumed two things: we don't get together because we have our favorites to spend time with and that Mate 27 is a cunt.
