Most, if not all professional football players would be earning 1-10% of what they earn now without football. They accept the risk of permanent injury for the money. We think of football as an unsafe job, but no one dies, no one loses a limb. Go to a mining town out west and look at the locals; many are maimed from hard physical dangerous labor that sure as hell pays less than football. Football, as with the rest of society is being subjected to a multipronged, multi-year assault on anything and everything deemed "male". You know, toxic masculintity makes people unsafe. Mental health is really important. Putting your own safety and mental health over all the concerns of everyone else on earth should be everyone's goal. We live in a cowardly, pussy country now, thanks to progressives and democrats. Look at those unamerican assholes chanting support of Hamas and Hezbollah, two organizations filled with porcine garbage.

In High School, the team played on Saturdays. Those of us who had quit as juniors or seniors played no pads, no rush count, 11 on 11 football on Sundays. On Monday it was obvious who had played in each game.
No concussions or fractures playing football. Two concussions, one crack in the skull skiing. Ever wonder what "heading" a soccer ball going 30 mph must do to the noggin?

^Club if you are used to driving on bad roads, with traffic, horns and congestion, you're going to fucking love driving out west. We once drove from Redding California, overnight on secondary roads to glacier national park. From 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. we passed no one, no one passed us and 6 cars came the other way.

I will say that if the category was the most crazed sports moment ever, George Brett's face as he came sprinting from the dugout after his home run was reversed and he was called out remains my favorite sports moment of all time. The sheer insanity of the moment is, was and always will be priceless. Nothing could ever say "I just totally lost it" better than the look on his face.
