Seeing the dart stories above reminded me of another time growing up when in the basement of our house my best friend stuck a dart right in the back of my younger brother's head. I remember him running around screaming like it happened yesterday. I was literally on the floor rolling around laughing while my friend was yelling that it wasn't funny. Which of course only made me laugh harder. Good times man, good times.

When I was growing up, my friends, my brother and I used to ride laundry baskets down the stairs at my house, which may not have been too crazy until you consider the wall at the bottom of the stairs only about 3 feet across the landing. Not a few injuries were experienced across the years.
I also was fond of jumping/diving off bridges, sometimes in areas where I was not familiar with the currents, water depth etc. Almost drowned once. Not the smartest thing in retrospect.
I also once went boogie boarding with a friend in April in Massachusetts with a huge storm off the coast and gigantic waves coming in. Almost drowned that time too, got pulled under by the undertow and it took me well over a minute to get back above the surface. Plus I almost got hypothermia after we drifted in the current about two miles down the beach from where we lived and then had to walk back wet and freezing in 40 something degree weather.
Now that I think of it, I guess I really wasn't the best decision maker when I was younger...

I'm a big fan of Marylou's. They're all over the place south of Boston and well known for their pink coffee cups and attractive help. The coffee is good and a little scenery in the morning doesn't hurt.

Mike Schmidt and it's not even particularly close. Power, patience, and excellent defense (though not to Robinson's level defensively). 3 MVPs and the analytics will tell you there were several other years that he was clearly the best player in the NL and would have been a deserving MVP in those years as well.
No slight to Robinson. Great player, great career, all around regarded as a quality person, and his legend is secure on his performance in the 1970 World Series alone.

I like Waffle House, but the nearest one is about 500 miles from where I live in Massachusetts, so a rare experience for me. I've always liked Cracker Barrel as well, but the nearest one of those is about 40 minutes from me as well and there are so many good privately owned breakfast places near where I live that I'm not going to drive 40 miles to Cracker Barrel.
Of course, I recently found out I'm diabetic, so a lot of the stuff I would eat at breakfast are things I won't be having much of any more.

A year or two ago I had a dancer in VIP more or less tear my shirt off in one motion with no prior discussion. Given a choice I'd have preferred not to, but then again she turned out to be very talented with her tongue, so maybe it was okay afterall...

Chinese restaurants were always a good stand-by when it came to drinking around Boston when I was younger. Nothing like ordering a Scorpion Bowl for 2 for just one person...

Many, many years ago I just happened to hit up Caddy on a Saturday night when they had a feature dancer named Rubber Doll. Her act involved a chainsaw, metal cock, and sparks. Not what I was expecting and definitely not my cup of tea. Memorable though.

I don't have the least problem with hair metal, I grew up with that stuff. Lots of fond memories.
Cherry Pie is certainly not one of the best examples, but it's a lot more tolerable if you're watching the music video...

They never tell you what you need to know.
Eventually the Big 10 and the SEC will end up as 20 team megaconferences with all the top drawing programs and the big money. The members of those two conferences will be the cool kids. Everybody else will be at the kiddie table.

Ivana's new enhancement is well done. She's a smart cookie, so I would have assumed that she would not go overboard with it and she did not and they do not look unnatural or not fit her body. I thought she was fine as is, but I don't think anyone that was a fan of hers before will be any less of a fan now.

I passed on a VIP with Chrystal last year before her sojourn. I had second thoughts afterwards. Now it sounds like I may have a second chance. Good news indeed.

^ I've been a lifelong Red Sox fan. Fenway is just about the most physically uncomfortable venue in sports to watch a game in person. I don't even enjoy going anymore.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
I think a pretty good rule of thumb is that when you are asking yourself "Do I have a problem?" you probably already know the answer is yes.

Rattdog - Acuna is a great young player having a historically great season. He may well be the best offensive player in baseball, but not by a "wide margin." Shohei Otani for one would like something to say about that.

It doesn't bother me at all. Players showing some personality and star power actually appeals to younger fans, which baseball desperately needs. Together with the rule changes such as the pitch clock that have quickened the pace of play and shortened game times, it's finally headed in the right direction.
Tradition is fine, but when it gets to the point that it becomes a weight that is dragging the sport's popularity down, then it is time for some changes. I just wish baseball had done it sooner.

Even though I tend towards the conservative side of things, I am not a fan of Jesse Watters and his smug, self-satisfied style. I think that he has one of the most punchable faces I've ever seen, along with Adam Schiff, another unbearable smug, self-satisfied asshole.

Don't tell Muddy (or anyone else for that matter) that they're having fun wrong and just let him do his thing.
