I told myself not to click on the link, yet somehow couldn't keep myself from doing so anyway. Good grief.

^ that's the concept of Veblen Goods. The idea that a luxury item's price is what makes the item desirable in the first place.

Agree about Sam. She's a real sweetheart. Been getting dances from her since back in the day when she was at Cadillac. No extras, but nice to get some warmup lap dances from before looking for something more later in a trip.

I'll admit I've done it. Not in a while and even though I didn't have any bad experiences with it, I probably would not do it again at this point. Famous last words...

Living well and enjoying my retirement
I feel absolutely terrible for Lions fans. I like rooting for the underdog and I especially like rooting for teams that have never won it before. Considering that for decades, Lions fans have suffered, suffered, and suffered some more, seeing Lucy pull the football away from Charlie Brown yesterday has to be painful beyond belief.

I know exactly what you mean. I remember when I was in high school and college you could go to Taco Bell with less than $10 and get a fucking feast. Them days are long gone.

Makes me think of how Tyrion Lannister said he wanted to die in Game of Thrones: "at the age of 80, with a belly full of wine, and a girl's mouth around my cock"

Where I live south of Boston, we have nothing so far. They keep saying on the news that the wind is going to shift later in the afternoon and the rain will turn to snow even here and then we might get 1 to 3 inches. Big deal.

Hockey cards, mostly older. It's a pretty impressive collection at this point as far as they go.

Rush - The R40 Tour in 2015, which turned out to be their retirement tour. I was in the 3rd row at TD Garden in Boston on Geddy Lee's side of the stage. It was spectacular.
Iron Maiden - Somewhere Back in Time Tour in 2008 at Great Woods in Mansfield, MA (I don't care what they call it now, it will always be Great Woods to me.) It was a greatest hits tour, they were in great form and put on an awesome show.
Van Halen - Balance Tour 1995 also at Great Woods. It was the evening Jerry Garcia died, so it was a unique and very cool night to be at a rock show. I always felt Balance was a highly underrated album of theirs. Plus my two and friends and I almost got arrested in the parking lot beforehand for possession of weed and underage drinking, but didn't. And Sammy Hagar pointed out a guy in the crowd wearing a cow costume. Good times!

^ A friendly game, not high stakes. $20 hold em tournament to start and then dealer's choice the rest of the night. No wild card games.
A couple of the guys are away on vacation, one went back to Florida for the winter, and the holidays are coming up, so we're on hiatus for a few weeks.
I do know of some private hold em' games that I play in occasionally. I've also played at the Encore a few times over the last few weeks and have run well.

Even though this isn't the first time you've posted the "fuck all the way off to Fuckoffistan" line, it makes me laugh every time I see it.
Excellent review.

Growing up one of our abutting neighbors were complete weirdos. Their daughter who was only normal person in the family took off when she turned 18, never to be seen again. The father and one brother had a restraining order against the mother and the other brother. That's really all you need to know.

Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.
I have to admit, I thought that was funny. Rare for SNL in recent years.

Agree with Skibum. Wouldn't be too effective as a club ad though stating that it was dead.
