In my new state of Ohio the big race was Republican JD Vance vs Democrat Tim Ryan
The national media built up the race calling Ohio a swing state and made it seem closer than it really was
Republican Vance won rather handily 53.3% to 46.7%

“what the hell is going on with the Atlanta clubs?”
I’ve never been to an Atlanta club despite driving (and flying) thru Atlanta more times than I care to count.
But I too think about that question. Back in the mid to late 90’s wasn’t Atlanta a strip club mecca? I remember those stores of NBA players have sex in the Champagne rooms long before it became more accessible

With apologies to Scorsese, Spielberg is the best alive today. His variety of work is part of makes him great
To think the same guy made Jaws, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List, Catch Me of You Can, The Terminal

And don’t forget “Duel”
I remember watching that as a teenager in the ABC Movie of the Week. Of course it was many years later before I knew it was Spielberg. It was a simple thriller for a kid - perfect

He adjudicates every review and gave a thumbs up to the one in question. I didn’t look, but I’m guessing it’s gone
The review could of/would of / should of been voted down

“Most of those mentioned are great films, but my favorite by far, of Scorsese films, has to be Raging Bull.”
I need to give it another try. It’s ranked as the one of the best films of all time, but I’ve tried watching it several times and can’t get past the first 30-40 minutes.

Casino - and it’s not even close. I can watch that over and over again. It’s like Shawshank, or Apollo 13 or Jaws for me
Goodfellas is ok, but overrated.
The Wolf of Wall Street is probably second
Did not like Taxi Driver

“If the Democrats want to nominate someone who'll be over 75, they should nominate Dolly Parton”
Electing Dolly Parton to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame just further shows what a sham organization it is.
Sure, she is a very accomplished singer, songwriter, author, actress, business woman. And has h If the Democrats want to nominate someone who'll be over 75, they should nominate Dolly Parton. She e ad hits of many genres - country, gospel, country-pop, bluegrass
She’s funny and a super talented multi instrumentalist - but she ain’t Rock & Roll

I agree with that. I was playing around and I guess you can filter out the unwanted ones, but hiding would be a nice option

Does it really matter whether it’s posted in the Front Room or the Political Forum?
All the forums come across on my feed and I don’t see a way to block (or sort) other forums such as Political or TJ

Kamala, you're FIRED!
Saw that Oprah endorsed Fetter-freak
Not sure if she still has the influence she once had when she could mention a book title and it would sell millions of copies, but wondering why she is interjecting herself in a state race where she doesn’t live

Michigan State has always had a rep for recruiting thugs.
Nassar, the gymnastics doc was only the tip of the iceberg. ESPN did an Outside the Lines story….
E:60, OTL Investigation Details Culture of Sexual Assault at Michigan State
The report began with Nassar but actually spent more time exposing the football and basketball programs and subsequent cover ups. Izzo should have been fired

When a party assumes it is entitled to every vote within a certain demographic, it will treat even the slightest sign of defection as an emergency.
When men like Clarence Thomas and Kanye don’t conform as expected they’re labeled Uncle Tom’s. Not allowed to have an opinion. Vilified worse than if a white Person said the same thing. That’s racist AF

Rick -
I totally get your point. I was a baseball and softball umpire for years, officiating girls softball at the state tournament level - so I am very sympathetic towards referees and umpires.
The recent wave of attacks on umpires and officials is sickening to me.
Good point you made
