Time Flies

They never tell you what you need to know.
I remember being in grade school and a day seemed like it lasted a month.
Now I get up on Monday, go to bed Monday night, wake up the next morning and it’s Thursday! I look at the calendar and say damn, September is already over?
It’s goes so fast now if I’m making plans to do something “significant” on the weekend I plan to do it next week and not the weekend coming up because it will be here too soon.
Does this only get worse the older you get?
Got something to say?

The perception of time definitely changes. As does the recognition of opportunity cost. I used to like it when the days flew by, but now I try to have enough time to appreciate good times when they happen. And enough time to make them happen again.
would you ask that question during the middle of january when the clock is turned back an hour, snow and ice are all over everywhere outside, and the temperatures are 15 degrees with a wind chill of zero and the winds are gusting at 20 mph?

Yet, take a movie like “Forrest Gump”, it’s 28 years old and Tommy still seems fresh, like it just came out
I club once or twice monthly. I got rid of almost all my possessions before having children. My savings have skyrocketed because I spend less on almost everything from housing to transportation in order to afford take out and good food for our meals together. I find if I look at porn or too many women at the club, it affects my relationship witt my SO, due to overstimulation. Peace and quiet is something I never take for granted anymore, and think fondly back on my youth that screamed for something to do to keep from being bored. They say there are two periods in life yiu are the happiest, in your 20’s and then Again in your 60’s and 70’s, probably because you have your health and less responsibility.
Which is probably a bit slower than shadowcat's perspective!🙄
When we are a year old, a day is 1/365 of our total age. That seems like a longer time interval than when we are 10 years old. Because at 10 years old, a day is 1/3650 of our total age.
