I agree with Shadowcat and the number of new vehicles on the road. Either every one is deeply in debt or they are doing well financially. Just earlier this week I was stopped at a red light watching all the vehicles pouring out of the Kroger parking lot at 5 pm. Car after car were new vehicles. Mostly Toyotas, Hondas and other imports. And the vast majority were SUV’s. A few large pick up trucks and mini vans. It struck me - where did all of the American sedans go? And doesn’t anyone drive a beater car anymore? Now, even high school and college kids have nice cars. Every kid I went to high school with drove a beater. I’m not kidding you when I saw a VW I had in college that was literally held together with duct tape the headlight brackets were so rusty

Supposedly the inflation rate for 2024 is supposed to be around 3% / way down from the 9+ % of 2022. But I don’t see it. Sure, eggs aren’t $5 a dozen any longer, but I see inflation all around me. I’m a fast food junkie so that’s my barometer of inflation. It costs $15 to go to Taco Bell or Wendy’s. $30 for a pizza. $25 for a couple of cheeseburgers at Five Guys. And the portions are less!

“Is Everybody Broke?” — Well, if you believe some of young girls on YouTube - the answer is no. (Not that I do). I seem to get a constant feed of YouTube videos of guys walking up to strangers and asking how much money they have in the bank. The answers range from $5 to huge amounts. If they are telling the truth - and that’s a big IF, every marginally cute girl is on Only Fans making huge bucks. There were two cute girls who claimed to be making $10,000 per month selling pictures of their feet. They said they had over $100k in their checking accounts

“If back in"95 you had been going to the Tanga Lounge or the Seven Seas Club” — I think I made my first trip to Tampa around 1996. The Tanga was fun - but never got past the parking of the Seven Seas. It was too much of a scary looking dive for me

…sorry hit enter too soon NFL Super Bowl ratings have seen a rather significant decline in ratings over the 10 years. Blame it on changing demographics, streaming and a change of howpeople watch TV, or even wokism and Colin Karpernick kneeling. So the bottom line is the NFL and advertisers are loving this stuff. I think it’s uttter non sense but apparently some enjoy it.

I think the real question is if Tay Tay is a virgin. She burns through boyfriends like Floyd Mayweather burns through hundreds at a strip club. My theory is after a dating a few weeks, her boy toys figure out she’s an ice queen and won’t give up the goods and they move on.

I’ve never been to the East St Louis clubs but at one time East St Louis was nationally known as one of the most dangerous cities in America. I am guessing it’s not the safest place to visit after dark and be careful where you wander.

I think there’s a sweet spot that’s difficult to hit. I’ve probably had as many times when I’ve walked into a new club with a pocket full of cash to be never approached by a dancer for an hour or more as I’ve had to deal with an aggressive dancer.

I would agree with those who said everyone is racist in some way. Even Jesse Jackson once famously said: “There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps... then turn around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”

There’s lots of talk about a fresh candidate. Former Indiana governor Mitch Daniels should have ran in 2016. He has broad appeal to both parties. But his wife doesn’t like politics. He will be 75 in April so now his time has passed (even though he’s still younger than either Trump or Biden). Wishing he would have ran and the country would have avoided the whole Trump/Biden mess.

I feel your pain. After my ATF Retired I felt no one else could measure up. Then COVID hit. Then I moved away from the Detroit area (one of the best strip club places in the US) to a virtual strip club wasteland. There’s a few clubs in the area but they get awful reviews. And as James mentioned, I too can’t connect with the girls who over do ink, piercings, unnatural hair colors or the goth chicks. So I guess I’m not retired but almost tired of finding another ATF

But when I change it, the change doesn’t “stick” as it did with old version. Each time I go to the discussion page I have to change to last comment. I know it’s not the end of the world. No biggie
