When did extras become a thing in Tampa?

Some background, before the pandemic, I was a Mons monger, starting around '95. In my ramblings up to that point, I found it to be the place to be, tons of fully nude girls on stage, most very sexy and good looking. No privacy for lap dances, but the other clubs I had been too, the private rooms were extra cash and nothing happened in them, so it was Mons for years. I guess I should also mention I wasn't on TUSCL, since I had settled on Mons as the place.

Then the pandemic, no mongering for a few years, then when I decided to come back, decided to check out the scene via TUSCL. A whole new world, at least for me. Mons had been ruined, and other clubs looked to be offering a lot more. Now, with the help of TUSCL reviews, I get extras whenever I come down, with my last trip in particular being outstanding.

My question, were extras available all this time, or is it more of a post-pandemic sort of thing?

    Yes, they were available the entire time. But the good news is you get to partake now. Looking back is probably just going to be annoying lol. I cannot tell you how many smoking hot dancers were literally there for the taking and I just didn't realize it in the moment. I think the cliche is youth is wasted on the young lol.

    Well, I was seeing escorts during this time, so I was getting extras, just not at the clubs. But I had no idea there were clubs you could just walk into and have sex. But as you say, I get to partake now.

    and my 2013 trip which included Tampa area and then South Beach Miami. I got extras before I got to Tampa itself on US 19.

    as a retrospect, I wish I had explored more of the Tampa Metro area and South Beach miami. other clubs than just the lame Madonna's and the good stage show at tootsies.

    I assume they were around in the early 90's in Tampa because that was when my buddy was stationed at Macdill AFB and he'd tell me about his strip club visits and give me a guilt trip about not going down there to hang out. This was before I had ever been to one, although I was always curious to find out.

    If back in"95 you had been going to the Tanga Lounge or the Seven Seas Club, you would have known Tampa extras have been around for a verrry looong time.

    Availability of extras depends on the club and the city. Some cities are locked down and some clubs forbid extras. When I was younger, I thought strip clubs were only for watching. I had no idea what you could do in some clubs.

    Consistent extras a plenty in the spaceship back in 2010-11 on my first trip to Tampa.

    Tanga Lounge, 7-Seas, 2001 all extras friendly pre 90s.

    Ybor strip, aka Scarlett's has almost always been extra friendly, and at some points extra expected. My tampa experience of late has dwindled, but for the 15 or so years I was a resident I would have a much easier time telling you where extras were not available as the list was way shorter

    I heard that Seven Seas had possibilities, but never got over there. Surprised to hear the "Spaceship" at 2001 had extras, from what I heard, no more action up there than on the main floor, that it was a rip-off.
    While it seems I could have been getting more, I don't really feel bad about what I missed, had some very good times at Mons, met some interesting, fun women, many of whom would spend some time with you curled up on your lap before going for dances. And the fact that it was full nude, 30 or more naked women roaming about, 3 on stage and all the naked lap dancers perfectly visible as they grinded away, it was something. Clubs like OZ and Scarletts don't have that, even if it's skimpy, all their dancers are covered.

    Extras have always been a thing, not just in Tampa, but anyplace, where pretty young women come in contact with rich older men. Most of us are older, and if you have money you know what I'm talking about.

    Extras are overrated IMO; and when they become routine, strip clubs just become overpriced brothels (boring). My most memorable experiences in strip clubs are of other things.

    I went to Tampa for the first time in 2002. In the first club I went into, I initially sat on my hands like I was in a San Diego strip club. The dancer just stepped back and said "what are you doing"?. She then grabbed my hands and put them on her breast and I became a Tampa fan for the rest of my life.

    It wasn't too long before I was getting BJ's in the club without even asking. I still make an effort to get to Tampa at least once a year. For a while, I was going 4 times a year.

    I think I made my first trip to Tampa around 1996. The Tanga was fun - but never got past the parking of the Seven Seas. It was too much of a scary looking dive for me

    Tampa is the only town where I've gotten a round of applause from other customers after wearing out a dancer in the VIP room. She was a screamer and the walls were thin lol.
