    1st time here?
Now that I think about it again, if it's my first time in a club I'll often tell dancers and waitresses about it to see what they share on the place. A question I get about as much if not more than "first time here" is what other clubs do I go to in town.

"Sometimes being direct beats being clever." Sometimes being the key word. The thread was about how customers deal with one question commonly asked by dancers, not a TUSCL referendum on telling the truth in strip clubs.

"If the strip club experience remains the same...will you remain a customer?" Yes. I might split time differently between clubs, but I'll keep going.

"We had a bit of a turbulent exchange on here but never official met in the club." Is what happened up there to Holmes50 an example of a turbulent exchange? lol. I saw this review when it was submitted and decided to leave it for others to sort out.

Let's not forget about Detroit metro. It's probably still the pound for pound champ in the US, even with a couple of big losses. But if things keep going as they are maybe its claim is up for debate?

"With regard to the line between acceptable and not, that bar has been lowered substantially." For you, too? lol. Not always in a bad way. Some body types I never really saw the appeal in turns out do some pretty sexy things in the right situations. The hobby's been a great way to try out all 31 flavors and more.

How are clubs doing in your area in general?
In South and Central Texas the two main club towns are Austin and San Antonio. Corpus Christi has strip clubs but is still down. Austin has been back up for a while now, at least a month after the second shutdown. The BYOB clubs stayed open, and most strip clubs are open again in ATX. I've seen Divas, XTC, Landing Strip, and P10 North. Will probably get around to some others, but those four kept me busy. Masks are required for entry, plus a temp check at some but not others, and it gets a little touch and go after that. The policy is generally mask on unless you're eating or drinking at a table (or the bar if there is service at the bar). Clubs I've seen are a little less busy, but still active. Have been there on Friday and Saturday plus slower days, and as expected nights are busier and Fri/Sat nights are packed with dancers and customers. Mileage is about the same as pre-COVID from what I can tell. Drink prices are about the same. No liquor charge at BYOB places. San Antonio is a little different. Mask and temp check requirements are the same as Austin. The BYOB clubs did stay open, but two of them (Diamonds and Monte Carlo) closed suddenly and haven't reopened. Rumor is Diamonds (which was packed nightly) got hit with an ICE raid, haven't heard about Monte Carlo. XTC Cabaret is a chain, and the one in San Antonio operates as an after hours BYOB spot without a dayshift. It's 18 and up and filled with hotheads, plus had a shooting recently that involved an AK-47. The club isn't in a bad spot, it just attracts bad clientele along with the usual mix. Last time I was there after the shooting the crowd hadn't gotten back to normal, but it was still busy. Playboy Club is also open but not busy and isn't a great option with talent. Non BYOB strip clubs are basically two choices right now, Sugar's and Perfect 10. Perfect 10 opened first, and to me is actually better than it was pre-COVID. Their first reopen wasn't great, but the second reopen they've worked out their pandemic protocols and it appears to be running more smoothly. Same for Sugar's. Prices are up across the board at Sugar's (door charge, VIP rates, etc) which is different from the reopen. Both P10 and Sugar's appear to be doing good business, but Sugar's has been less crowded and it might have something to do with their jacking up their prices. Door charge for both clubs is $15 now up from $5 during the day. Night cover is still $20. Drink prices are about the same. VIP access charge at Sugar's is now $32.50 for 30 minutes, which isn't as bad as some places (LS in ATX is $50 a trip and we won't talk about P10 ATX) but more than what used to be a charge for all day. Sugar's is also the only club that is enforcing food purchases. There must be food on the table to order alcohol. It was a little more complicated just after the second reopen, but maybe they figured out counting drinks worked well for no one. P10 VIP is $40 to $100 (yeah it's a range) but the enforcement is a little iffy. If you don't mind taking chances have at it. And if you're in a strip club right now you clearly don't mind taking chances. Like Austin, mileage is about the same as before (good to very very very good). Rumor has it at least one of the other major clubs in San Antonio is reopening this week (Rick's is advertising tomorrow Sep 17th). If that happens the others probably aren't too far behind. I almost forgot Capisce is open as a strip club again. That club tries hard but their business has been slow. So that's the rundown.

Some of the perspective is going to be shaped by the clubs that are around, too. If you're a customer surrounded by tourist traps you're going to get dancers with a different mentality.

If the answer is yes, I say yes. New money to a club is like a new girl to a regular. The best way to not look like a mark is to not act like a mark.

    Not Right Now
"What happens when the hottest dancer or one you know youโ€™d like to get a dance from later comes up immediately." Assuming this isn't a wannadance girl and you know you'd like to get a dance eventually, offer her a drink. You're signaling that you're interested enough to spend money on her (or share if it's BYOB). Most dancers will sit even if they're not drinking. A dancer yesterday said she didn't drink, but ordered a water to give us some chat time. I got a few songs to see what was on her mind, see the other dancers, and by the time dances came up again I was ready to check her out. If she's crazy hot, sometimes I'll just say let's go and talk with her while waiting for the next dance to start. I walked away from the hottest dancer in the club over the weekend because I was trying to stake out a decent table, and she'd gotten locked down by a big spender by the time I thought to ask for her. Had the table I wanted but not the company. Eventually got her number, but it cost me $40 to clear the table so I could talk with her while her customer was in the head.

Have you ever had a dancer you like switch clubs?
Short answer is yes. And in 2020 it's been completely bonkers with dancers club hopping, so that's probably in its own category. "Particularly, a club with a way different style. Did you find the experience not a big deal?" If the clubs are way different it can affect the experience, but it's not a big deal in how I view the dancer because every place is different. "Or was it jarring?" Jarring, no. Inconvenient, yes. A fav of mine was on lockdown then away longer than she'd planned to be. She tried out a new club when she got back in town, and still wasn't sure how things worked. While it was still fun, there were too many dancers who were too interested in what was going on in the corner we'd picked. Her main club is supposedly reopening soon so I'll probably just see her there. "Or did something positive come out of it?" In the short term, no. There's a new (to me) dancer who was unexpectedly fun that reached out the day I was catching up with the old fav. That day was mostly an "L", but if things at the other club are something like normal it'll be worth taking a pass on the future fav.

    Austin sex worker gets robbed
"As the two cars where driving southbound on the frontage road of I-35, the woman noticed a University of Texas Police patrol car, the affidavit states. She rammed the suspectโ€™s car to get the officerโ€™s attention and both vehicles were pulled over." That's either really smart or really crazy. Or is it both?
