SELECTION IS KEY
@georgebailey In that way strip clubs are like casinos: most people that walk in the door have no idea how to quit when before they take a big loss, so "the house always wins."

If the shutdown turns out to be permanent (or even long-term enough to prompt dancers to shift locations), I suspect you'll see a split similar to the "Sandy Springs Dancer Diaspora" when 3 clubs closed simultaneously (1 extras, 1 non-extras, and 1 that probably was close to failing on its own). Non-extras dancers are probably most likely to jump to Pony since it also operates 7 days a week and has broadly similar clientele. Tattletale could draw some but it's never had the same kind of day shift business that Oasis, Pony, or even the Cheetah tend to draw. And of course the Pony may be on borrowed time if they ever run out of legal maneuvers, and the reports indicated the Cheetah had finally been sold given the skyrocketing value of the land it occupies. By 2025 there may not be a truly great club left in the city.

The more they stay the same
Not only is the going rate for dances here still $10/song, the standard 30 minute VIP pricing remains $100 to the house/$200 to the dancer for 30 minutes. If you were quoted $20 dances or $400+ VIP you are talking with a ROB and should move on immediately.

Atlanta suburb
I breakout of isolation.
Glad to see the king isn't letting permanent closure of his preferred castle keep him locked down forever. I am curious, not to be political, why you would go without a mask, though? Especially given your risk factors, it just seems - no offense - like a @Gawker move.

say it ain't so
@Gammanu I've never had the pleasure of clubbing in south Florida, but having spent significant time in Detroit, COI, and Follies over the years I would agree with Eastcoaster's assessment. Atlanta's "lap dances" in most clubs are actually table(side) dances, and increasingly nothing but air in most metro clubs. But at Follies you didn't even have to buy a dance to get what would require a VIP trip in any other market. I think a hand job at your table was considered "first base."
