You're signaling that you're interested enough to spend money on her (or share if it's BYOB). Most dancers will sit even if they're not drinking. A dancer yesterday said she didn't drink, but ordered a water to give us some chat time. I got a few songs to see what was on her mind, see the other dancers, and by the time dances came up again I was ready to check her out.

If she's crazy hot, sometimes I'll just say let's go and talk with her while waiting for the next dance to start. I walked away from the hottest dancer in the club over the weekend because I was trying to stake out a decent table, and she'd gotten locked down by a big spender by the time I thought to ask for her. Had the table I wanted but not the company. Eventually got her number, but it cost me $40 to clear the table so I could talk with her while her customer was in the head.

I would just tell her:

“I just got here and I like to relax, have a drink and get a chance to see the talent. Then I am going to get up and walk to get dances with the most beautiful, hottest dancer in this place.”

Most girls know who the “hottest” or most popular girl is, in the place and if they are not the hottest, they just will walk away.

If they believe they are the hottest, they might say “I am the hottest”, I would answer “if you are, then I will come get you after I am done relaxing, drinking and seeing all the talent. Thank you.”

She will walk away, wondering.

Once you have relaxed and had your drinks and seen all the talent, make you selection and get up and walk to the most beautiful, hottest girl in the place and get your dances.

If the girl is any of the girls you told what you were going to do, she will be flattered you think she is the hottest girl in the place.

This happened to me before and I said something like that. A girl that told me she was the hottest, saw me walking to the real deal, hottest most beautiful girl and just nodded her head and smiled to me, because she knew she was not the hottest to me.

In any case, it is up to you to decide who you want to get dances with.

once i enter the club i head straight to the bathroom and then do whatever over there to get ready. then get the drink at the bar. if that girl you have in mind asks you right then and there at the bar you better say, "SURE LET'S GO NOW." Because if you don't it can take anywhere from 2-4 hours for another chance. even worse maybe no chance after all of that time - she decides she has to leave early.

A tip is legit, that way she knows you’re not blowing her off. If she is a smart dancer she’ll see if you do this with anyone else and if you don’t she’ll come back over. Then again, if she is the dime piece in the set she may occupied. And don’t be a push and wait, if she isn’t busy and you’re ready later, walk up to her and ask her if she’d care to chat. Don’t overthink it.

Due to this reason, I ALWAYS go to the bar and grab a drink there to survey the talent and to enjoy my drink. When that is not possible, I'll still get a drink at the bar and stand for a bit to get a feel for the club/dancers. I've told girls before that I was there to relax and enjoy a drink first and most of them never come back, even though I truly mean that. It's the ugly dancers who will come back cause they know you haven't outright rejected them.

What I've done, especially if the girl is really my type (and if I want to enjoy my drink), I will offer to buy her a drink as well. This will show her a few things: 1. I'm not necessarily cheap and am willing to spend money on her. 2. I'm not wasting her time having her sit with me for free. 3. That I meant what I said that I wanted to enjoy a drink and relax.

If things go well, I will offer to buy a second drink as I finish mine and get a floor dance while waiting for the waitress to return. This will also give you time to scout the talent. You can always dismiss her after your first dance to enjoy your second drink. Everyone has their own style, but I've found this works out pretty well for me.

If I know I want a dance from her, I get a dance from her. It's that simple.

If she's got potential, but I want to check my options first I might try some of the suggestions. I usually opt for the have a drink with me approach over compliment/tip/ask to return one. I don't want to risk her being occupied or defiled by someone else just because she happened to approach me shortly after I entered. If she's that hot, I'll be the one occupying and defiling her first.
