  Tampa/Miami. Only thing bad about it is it’s lacking in Asian dancers. But hot Asian dancers usually have GPS anyway.

  As the OP said, Follies alone makes Atlanta/the non-Florida south a strong contender. The thing about South Florida is that there aren't too many clubs with a lot of white or Asian women (Tootsies has a couple Asian women who seem alright, not counting the visitor I met SB weekend). I don't think the mid-Atlantic gets its due. I used to live in Harrisburg, PA; and while I hate Savannah's with a passion I have to say AW is cool. You can have a sneaky good time at Castaways in Duncannon. But here's where the quality comes in: it's two hours from DC (Ebony Inn) and 2.5 at most from the Philly area. Shoot, it's 3 from NYC and 3.5 from Pittsburgh. Throw in the comparatively low dance prices of all the places sans NYC and it's up there.

  I haven't been to clubs in many different areas - only Miami, Dallas, Vegas, and a (very) little in the DC vicinity. With regard to Muddy's impression that Miami's tops in the USA, I would tend to agree with that based on my very limited sampling, but I would also agree with skibum's warning about Cubans. But if you avoid the Cubans, or screen them carefully, you can have still have a good to great time. I will sometimes route flights through Miami just to be able to have some ground time there to go clubbing. Dallas is friendly and the girls in the clubs can be hot. I've had good experiences in Dallas, though in Texas, they don't have as much privacy as dances are generally in open areas on the main floor, though group-room VIPs are also available. Contact in Dallas isn't as high as in Miami. Vegas is Vegas. Everything is available, but Vegas is expensive. DC - hard pass if you're looking for good contact. DC is the air dance capital of the world, though I've read that some PLs have had contact dances with the right girl in certain clubs. I get the impression though that this is not the norm. N. Va is also air dance - though deeper into VA you can get expensive low-mileage contact dances. From what I understand, Maryland is better than DC/N. VA, but up in Baltimore, it's expensive, and mileage tends to be low. Papi posted a review of a place in Maryland where it sounded like he had a crazy good time, but that could be due to his good looks, prowess, and powers of persuasion, though the size of his wallet might have had a little to do with it.

  The midatlantic sucks IMO. $30 standard price on dances, not a whole lot of mileage and open dance areas. You guys in FL and TX have it made. $20 and less for dances, sometimes private, and a shit ton of hot girls.

  If I had to pick right now, I'd pick: 1. Texas 2. California 3. Florida (haven't been there recently) Detroit is still probably the best town for the most high quality options dollar-for-dollar, but it's only one town.

  If I had to pick one single area to live in purely from a club standpoint, then hands down it would be Pasco County Florida, where the living is cheap and so are the attractive dancers. Next would be Daytona Beach where, with the exception of a handful of special event weeks, taking attractive girls OTC from clubs for reasonable money is like shooting fish in a barrel.

  w.r.t. Florida - Miami has a lot of clubs and good mileage at decent prices, biggest problem is few Anglo girls - Tampa is 4-hours away which is a pretty-good SC area, and one also has Cocoa Beach which is decent and Jacksonville which is also decent - and if you're a road-warrior Miami to Follies is about a 10-hour drive.

I’ve dealt with many crappy behaviors from douchebags all over, but not of the winking variety. Weirdest trend I’ve noticed there and I feel it helps me understand the Rick behavior a little more ahahahaha. I jumped the gun too early on my timing showing up there and working two shifts (as did the club cause they were already charging their “special event” house fees then) and gave up and felt it was well worth the drive the hour drive to commute to Cocoa Beach instead. I met an 18 year old friendly baby stripper who I suspect would have zero issue getting hired at Mons Venus—who was excited to be averaging $150 so far. Poor thing 😓 And it’s odd how that town actually maintains six clubs.

  Except for a few occassions where I enjoyed Bare Assets I didsliked the Pasco County clubs and while we goif near Daytona, we avoid the cliubs there like the plague in favor of the Inner Room. If you want medium cost extras with pretty dancers Providence is simply the best.

  I think it depends on what you, the PL, is in to. SJG & Shadowcat & LDK are all going for different reasons or experiences. A PL from TX is going to find his experience from Baby Dolls to ATL to the DMV to COI 4 unique experiences depending on his pocket and personal expectations. Living in OKC & Dallas for my 1st 30 years shaped my viewpoint as avg stripclub life as being mostly visual with good 2-way traffic. Moving to the NY-Philly corridor opened my eyes to what a dollar actually gets you & the level of agression dancers go to in offering everything from air dances to open air FS. Are we asking about the level of extras in this question or about the overall experience from the multi-headed hydra TUSCL has become?

  In Rhode island if I want a full contact no extras dance with a dancer too young to drinkj; there's a place to go. Cheap extras with ugly dancers at the end of the line; there's a place to go. extras with ugly women; there's a plac to ...oops shuit down yesterday. Extras with pretty dancers; there's 3 places to go. Full liquor in all the clubs and privacy.

  Don't know about clubbing, but if you include escorts and erotic body rub parlors, no place (in the U.S. or Canada) beats Toronto, specifically Mississauga, which is about a half-hour west by the airport. Many options of both, reasonably priced (typically $160 for half-hour with an escort and $180 for 40 minutes of a nude, two-way, full contact massage -- Canadian dollars). Lots of hot, young ladies from virtually every ethnicity.

  JAprufrock brings up some good points. Keeping in mind that the title of the OP said within a day's drive or so.......... and again based on my own experiences I would say Florida or Detroit. Tampa, Cocoa, Daytona, Jacksonville and Miami all within a days drive if you live in the central part of the state. Detroit, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Chicago, Indy and Columbus all within an easy day's drive. Is there a better 1-2 punch within 4 hours than Detroit and Toronto? Tampa and Miami?

  15-20 years ago, I would have put Houston in that discussion. A Lesbian Mayor changed all that. But for me now, it's got to be the Miami/Pompano Beach area. Yeah, there are some Cubans. But there is no other place where you get the beauty and the activities inside numerous clubs. And the weather is pretty damn nice too. What's the temp in Detroit right now ?

  True, but you are allowed to drive there "within a day or so". I took the question as a place to live in the US but, could motor elsewhere. I.E. include TJ in your assessment if you live in San Diego. (Never clubbed in either of those places).

  Where I'm at, the Cuban dancers reviewers were complaining about (and I was somewhat annoyed with myself) have improved their English and some are quite fun now. Last time I was at Follies in ATL there was a Cuban dancer who spoke flawless English, sat on my lap completely naked being friendly for 20 minutes waiting for a VIP room, and did a fantastic VIP set. I can understand the sentiment, but to me the more hotness in the club the merrier if they're trying to fit into the flow of the place.

  To save anyone who is actually still interested in a decade old article from the brain damage of reading D_E's girly squeals, bad satire and shrill hyperbole, I'll post a direct link: [view link] D_E, do you really think that shrilly trolling an ancient article somehow makes you seem more normal? I'm guessing you don't get out much. You're angry, bitter and more than a little obsessive. I'm guessing some form of Asperger, which wouldn't make you a bad person by itself, but it's manifesting poorly. Oh, and I did all the same stuff recently in Milwaukee, which is not exactly a hotbed of easy OTC, and scored well with same night action with a ridiculously hot girl. Of course I didn't have to "dress up" since I was already in business apparel and my job doesn't need any embellishment, but otherwise I'd say the elements were the same.   Staying within OP’s title of within a day’s drive or so: Pacific NorthWest: Portland has tons of clubs, and FN clubs serve reasonably priced alcohol (Calif = no alcohol at FN = lame). I’ve only been to a few Portland clubs, but they had solid two way contact FN VIP dances; did not experience ITC extras. Lots of hotties, many are tatted. Have never clubbed in Seattle, so can’t comment. SoCal: COI, of course. West LA: Lots of hotties at Belax and 4Play, but both expensive. And mileage too low at 4Play. I intend to venture to other West LA clubs to test drive. San Diego: Skip it unless determined to enjoy some eye candy. Very similar to San Francisco in terms of TL clubs having decent quantity of hot girls but low end mileage.

The draws to Portland are numerous clubs, hot dancers (many w/tats), and solid 2 way FN mileage at most clubs. The drawbacks would be rare ITC extras and Seattle is the only other nearby city. I hear that in Seattle extras ITC are more possible than Portland but then on the downside Seattle has less clubs. Since I'm not an extras guy I put Phoenix and Portland as my favorite clubbing cities. I would love to check out clubs in Austin and DFW in Texas someday. I'm a sucker for corn-fed blondes. 🥰

  @wallanon "Toronto isn't in the United States." I didn't read the OP's post carefully. But I essentially group the U.S. and Canada as one because of the similarities. Mexico, of course, is an entirely different world. And Toronto is within four hours of Detroit, seven hours of Cleveland/Columbus/northern Ohio and two hours from Buffalo and northern NY, so easily accessible to many Americans.
