The Filipino restaurants in my area are pretty solid options, food quality wise. I never got the impression they cheapened out on anything.

If you’re ever in central TX, I’ll introduce you to some really good ones. San Antonio’s restaurants are better, but this one location in Austin has solid food quality as well. The food is only a little below a couple other places. The main reason I don’t prefer that place is the lady who keeps nagging at me to date her son.

The only really good Filipino restaurants that I've ever found were in Daly City and LA. Portland, Phoenix, San Francisco all were cities with lower quality restaurants. To me it is one of the hardest ethnic foods to find when going out to eat.
