Because in the process of implementing new things, old things might break and not admit to an easy fix. It's the nature of software development.

And yes, not all the new things are things that I necessarily need or want, but founder considers them worthwhile, so I'm content to see what develops.

If you review that thread a lot of people who you normally troll or vice versa, were willing to put it all aside out of concern for you- because they cared

This is one of the only forums in existence without any moderation (to which I'm proud of Founder) and so it's like the wild west or anarchy.

I think the lack of any moderation is to the detriment of this site. It's a reason that I sometimes ponder my own participation here.

I would propose we need some kind of moderation, at the very least to clean up to the spam.

If I owned the site (and obviously, I don't, these are all decisions for founder) I would have a small set of rules. There should be some rather obvious things you can't do here: dox people, threaten violence (against strippers or other PLs), etc.

The bar could be very low, but there needs to be a bar. If you don't have any rules, every thread winds up looking like this one.

Rules are designed to protect mentally ill frauds, losers nd bigots like Icey. So, fucking against helping people who cause the problem, then piss down their own leg crying about it like Icey. Sirlapdance is 100% correct and only appears to troll the ultimate troll; Icey.

Ron - Who is going to do the moderating? Will somebody do it for free. If you are going to pay some one, where is the money coming from? Do you want a bunch of advertisements and Malware pop ups?

I've been on here for over 25 years and have just learned to live with whatever Founder wants and can afford. I just ignore what I don't like.

Yeah @shadowcat, people would definitely moderate for free, just like they do on Reddit. I would do it, I'm certainly here enough to do it. Plenty of other folks would be willing to step up to the mark too I'd bet.

And yeah, I don't want popups or adverts either. The thing is, without moderation, you get a ton of unwanted adverts. Escorts in Delhi! 98Win là nền tảng cá cược trực tuyến uy tín! Government propaganda du jour! We're already deluged by adverts here, just not ones that founder is making any money off.

@Sirlapdanceanot - I love with Drake and Subra have done with the reddit sub. They've got the dial on moderation set just right there. Obviously they have to enforce reddits rules too, but their own rules for the sub are pretty simple: don't be an asshole, and don't out dancers.

The problem is, reddit will never be a replacement for TUSCL because of it's structure, and the lack of being able to categorize and find reviews. The conversation there is so much better for it's lack of hardcore trolls, but you'll never have the capability there to research offerings in a new city you're about to travel too.

The real problem with the trolls here is that they’re determined to disrupt the conversation by converting every conversation to a critique of their target. Most of us here are congenial, if everyone made a pact to shun the trolls they’d go away, problem could be solved if we stick with it. I’m not perfect but I’m willing to band together with the rest of us with good intentions let’s see how we can make this happen.
