Late Night Food - Post Strip Club Visit.

It's 2AM, you're leaving a strip club and you got the munchies (twentyfive, think if you were out past 8PM). What food do you want? I lot of times the only thing around is a McDonalds, Burger King or Taco Bell. Pizza would be great, but sometimes it's hard to find somewhere to just walk up to and get something. In Toronto I'd usually hit a Tim Hortons as they are usually open late, west coast, definitely In & Out Burger. Sometimes I'm more excited to go there than the damn strip club.

I think there is a diner within five minutes of every strip club in Jersey. I can get damn near anything at a jersey diner 24x7

In N out wherever it is available. Otherwise probably Taco Bell, it is always open very late.

After 8 I like the breakfast at the bagel tree or first watch, you were talking about after 8 am right. ;) I usually get breakfast before 7 actually.

Taco Bell for fourth meal. Waffle House, IHOP, Denny's, or whatever else is open. Scarcity of 24 hour options usually makes the choice for you.

I'd stop by a 24h drug store and get a protein bar. That's what I'd want. (I'm no fun)

Rallys is a fast food that stays open late in ohio. There used to be several tim hortons but they cut back on their hours so they close too early now. It's nice going to clubs that serve food.

In & Out is only open until 1:30AM or 2AM on weekends. The places that are open 24/7 near me are McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, and Starbucks.

White Castle is an option after the club, if you're drunk. Anytime I here about White Castle, the conversation goes like "My friend and I were FUCKED UP!!! Then we went to White Castle ..."

One of the house moms usually cooks, I will take some of that for the ride home. I usually drink at work and I'm kind of moderately small, so even if I haven't drank much, I don't want to chance it and drive. I have a friend drive me. I'll Lyft (which is basically Uber but better) but I haven't done that in a while because I have friends drive me. I will also hit up a Coney, which here in MI (especially Detroit and its suburbs) is a place with MI style chili dogs, chili cheese fries, gyros, sandwiches, soups, Greek salads and other salads, etc. The one I go to after work is 24/hrs and even has fajitas and stuff. It's good. If I was really drunk I'd go to Taco Bell and I loathe fast food.

I don’t usually stay out late, but I like to get a regular McDonald’s hamburger. Just enough to not be hungry.

I eat at some of the clubs ( the ones I know have decent food) but if after hours depending where I am I look for Breakfast--Bob Evans or Perkins. K is correct--if in New Jersey diners are open and everywhere.

K is correct about NJ diners. I enjoy a nice greasy diner meal after hitting a club. One evening - after going to a club in Orange NJ (that I think is now closed) - my buddies and I hit the Eagle Rock Diner. We were relaxing and retelling stupid whore stories. We notice a booth nearby is experiencing a commotion. So we take a closer look - and it’s a group of dancers from the club. One of them had missed a day with her birth control - and she had the circular plastic container out - deciding on what to do. We stopped over to help out - and it turned into some great conversation.

"... Waffle Houses are open all night and there are a lot of them around ..." I don't think we have any in Miami - there seem to be 3 or 4 in the next county over but that's not many for a populous area like South FL

I used to be kinda addicted to Taco Bell and would often make a late-night run - but they pissed me off w/ their poor-service and I kinda boycott them now - I ask for a Quesadilla and pay for extra-chicken and two of the four-slices are just bread - similar to when I ask for a burrito and pay for extra-steak and half the time it doesn't have much steak - I hate getting gypped.

In and out is good. Jack in the Box is also a good choice. Lots of options. If you are wanting to sit down, then Waffle House or Denny's.

There is a casino buffet I went to once after going to my current favorite club. One of the strippers even suggested it. It's either that or Perkins and I don't like my hometown Perkins.

Roscoe's Chicken 'n Waffles, ironically my ATF from a few years ago now runs a food truck serving similar cuisine. For a nationwide chain, perhaps IHOP. When I am in AZ or TX, Whataburger is a nice novelty.

Some of my favorite clubs have (or had) a hot dog cart or taco stand that would set up in the parking lot. My current favorite is the taco stand near HK in Tijuana. My favorite from yesteryear was a hot dog cart at Fritz’s in Bellflower when it was still open.

@motorhead You can buy frozen White Castles they come in pair packs of 3 or 8 , thing to do is break the two burgers apart, remove the top bun then microwave the two as one double burger put a squirt of ketchup and enjoy not quite as good as the restaurant double but not bad at all, and strangely enough they’re satisfying when you’ve got a bit of a buzz.

Concur with White Castle. Their cheese sticks have sustained me on many a late trip home. There's also a local guy working in one of the club kitchens who delivers. Good food, and not expensive.

The other option in Maryland is the Royal Farms convenience stores. Most are open 24 hours and they serve pretty good fried chicken as well as subs & sandwiches & sides around the clock.

I tend to like White Castle late at night but only occasionally. My father ate them all through college because they were cheap and then never ate one again for the rest of his life. It's the pre-club visit for food I like the most here in Indianapolis: the salad bar at the downtown Whole Foods, Shapiro's Deli, The Workingman's Friend, MCL cafeteria, grab and go foods at Georgetown Market, Olive Garden, Caplinger's Fresh Catch. Those long drives seem more worth it when you can visit a restaurant near the strip club too.
  • misterorange

^^ doc - Haha, yeah White Castle definitely not a good choice for "pre" club meal. Strippers wouldn't come near you! I tend to be a daytime clubber. There's been a couple times I left all drunk and hungry and picked up a bucket at the KFC drive thru. Of course with that aroma it's impossible not to dig in while driving, and by the time I get home there's grease and secret seasoning crumbs all over the seat and floor. Next day I have to go to the car wash for "full service" which is not as much fun as the full service I got the day before! Lol

One of the few things I miss about New York is the ability to get a late night snack that’s actually good at any time of the day or night, one of the things that was always great was heading to Lenny’s late at night with a bunch of buddies and getting a fresh pizza, and no I don’t consider Dominos or Pizza Hut or any of those chain places cheese on cardboard with ketchup sauce to be pizza. We also had an abundance of twenty four Dinrers and so many places to get good food late it’s not available here in Florida other than a few isolated areas

Around here (NJ) there are fewer 24 hour spots. Used to be that the word "diner" implied 24 hrs but most of them close at 10 or 11 these days. Used to be a place in Teaneck NJ called Louie's Charcoal Pit. More like a luncheonette than a diner, but great food and open 24/7. In college we'd walk there from FDU, 4 or 5 blocks, at like 4AM. And you never saw a group of shit-faced college students so well behaved because if you weren't nice the cook would come and throw your hungry ass out into the street. It was like the Continental in John Wick movies. Even guys who hated each other wouldn't risk being banned from this place. Sadly they closed up about 10 years ago.

I prefer a nice diner or good pizza if I can find it that late at night. When I am in Louisville I prefer Spinnelli's pizza since they are open until 5am. It's been a while since I've clubbed that late in Lexington but I would usually choose Tally Ho for breakfast or a burger but it isn't really convenient to the clubs. In Columbus I haven't really found a good option so it is generally just IHOP or whatever I can find open.

In la serendipity Cafe and bossa nova are good for late night food. Or the benihibachi truck. In Vegas the best late night food is at the taco cart by the mechanics shop near chicas bonitas. Or Badger Cafe.

Wendys has an odd flavor in their beef- that I haven’t noticed at other burger places. It seems like they use some odd oil or cooking spray on it, or its the source. Its supposedly higher quality than other fast foods, yet the taste is off. Does white castle cause gas, or bad breath? Ive only had the frozen ones, a long time ago.

Moneyman, eating White Castle before the club causes you to emit pheromones that get strippers so turned on they'll give you full service and a GFE and not even charge you.

These days its tough to find something safe besides a good burger or steak. Most items have some kind of added oils- or sauces containing some oils. Even chipotle and cava cook their beef in sunflower oil...

Taco Bell has never been good food. Going way back to my college days, the main appeal of Taco Bell was that myself and a car load of starving drunk buddies could roll up to Taco Bell, order about 70 pounds of "food", and it would cost maybe $12. Aside from that, it's really something that only tastes good at 2 AM when you're full of booze and regret.

Waffle House keeps creeping closer to New England. They're in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania now. In fact they are all along US 30 in Ohio as well. Love waffle House. The one down the road from the old Inner Room is one that I have been to probably 200 plus times.

Taco Bell has either nose-dived, or I just had the most awesome crew in my late-night Taco Bell when I lived in New Orleans. I remember I would hit the drive-thru on the way home and just get Chalupas or gorditas loaded with meats. For the past several years, there is hardly any meat in them. Taco Bell used to be the shit; however, it was also guaranteed hangover if you had been drinking. Almost worth it, though.

Shadowcat- they actually have different levels on the Waffle House Disaster Index. It's a real deal. Fron least to worst Full power; full menu Generator power, full menu (Cindy, Wilma, Gustav) Generator power; partial menu (Sandy, Irma) closed (Katrina, Michael, Fort Myers Beach after Ian)
