  I’ve done it when I was younger - to take the edge off. I had a room mate who would always do that before going on first dates. So I gave it a try before hitting clubs when I was just out of college. It saved me some money - and I didn’t have much money back in those days - so it was helpful advice.

  Not sure they this is in line with what @Liwet is getting at or not. Not masturbate, but I have clubbed in and evening where I had sex earlier in that same day. For me clubbing is a different release: mental (or hormonal testosterone) than physical. But even then, several hours had lapsed. I'd still want to recovery time to build up some sexual appetite.

  Well...what's the time frame? One hour before? A day before? With me it doesn't matter. Even though I'm naturally functional, I always take a vitamin V before clubbing so I'm always very responsive. One thing about V though is while you can get hard 5 min after you cum, the orgasm itself is harder to achieve. As I don't like to LDK as a rule this works out for me.   I almost always fire one off before hitting the club. It makes me LDK in two songs instead of one, and my load size is substantially smaller to avoid the big splooge stain in my shorts, or pants during the 3 months it's too cold to wear shorts.

  I mostly club on dayshift so at most I'll fire one off the night b/f but not b/c I'm going to the club the next day - - ideally I prefer to abstain for 3-days b/f hitting a club but that doesn't often happen but I rarely jack-off the same day - I normally enjoy my clubbing more when "I'm hungry"

  Gotta agree with Meat here. If you haven't cum in a long time and you hit the club looking to LDK that load size is gonna be dangerous. I found that out the hard way in Vegas lol.
