Now that Juice has cancelled his ill-fated Aug 29 Follies trip, I thought I’d see if there’s any interest in doing a fall meetup. If so, I suggest sometime in October. As for location, Detroit doesn’t make sense since we just had a meetup there. Phoenix, Miami, and LA are fun, but they are more of a winter meetup location. I suggest Follies, but of course I’m open to other suggestions. Let me know if anybody wants to come, and if so your preferences on date and location. As usual, there will be no way to give everybody what they want but I'll do my best to herd the cats.
I vote for LA. I can do LA anytime in October. The COI is calling our names! I know at least myself, JohnSmith, Lopaw, Sclvr, Larryfisherman can make it. There's a lot more LA TUSCLers, and some of the Phoenix TUSCLers could probably make it. Plus anyone else who wants to come.
I'm always in the mood to hit Follies although I can't make it up there as often as I'd like - I was actually planning for a mid to late August Follies trip but gonna have to push it back to early or mid September- so I'm down for an early/mid Sept Follies visit but can't commit to it 100 but def leaning towards it
I'm down all I ask is settle on a date a month ahead of the meeting so I can request those days off...I also suggest something on the East Coast since the majority of the active board are from this side
There may be a Sept meet up at Follies. I am waiting to hear from 2 out of state TUSCLers concerning the best date for them. NO, juice is not one of them.
As usual the responses have the clarity of the water in Rio. I'll wait to see if Scat posts something in September. If not I'll post again about maybe something in October. While I'm sometimes on the west coast, I can't do anything there this fall.
Skibum- Whats Halloween weekend in south FL?
How about a meetup in TJ- Hong Kong, Adelitas, and the new Deja Vu
August is the rainy season, but it should be clear and dry in late September and October.
Larry thinks going to East St. Louis is a death wish? Don't be so fragile. If you don't rob a convenience store and then wrestle for control of a policeman's gun, you will be fine.
If I go with Skibum on Halloween can I dress up as a sleazy lawyer?
Not sure what it takes to get into the insiders club, but I think a meetup sounds fun. I've always got more time on my hands than I know what to do with.
I will try to make it to follies on sept 22, but it'll be difficult for me and I won't know for a while. So I suggest that shadowcat be in charge of organizing this one. I think he already is as a practical matter.
If you guys ever decide to do San Diego/TJ for a winter meet or future meet up, the Pueblo Casino and Hotel is pretty nice, right next door to Deja Vu, and rooms are only about $60 per night.
@JS69: Depends on the club, the girl, and the PL. The clubs here aren't as good as Follies, I'll freely admit.
Trixie's, Godfather, PT's and Deja Vu have lots of eye candy, and range from zero mileage at Trixie's to reasonably high hands on at DV. Takeout is likely.

I'm not looking for a death wish.
Honestly, only Phoenix would work for me, if the dates worked.
I actually think people on this site that is 55 and older I piss off except for Vince
Maybe it's an old person issue
I've noticed 45 and down members seem to enjoy me
Juice is a God Dammit
I wouldn't be opposed to Phoenix or Vegas, I could make that happen as well. Although I'm not sure about Arizona's weather in the Fall.
Short bus education
Ann Arbor, Tuscaloosa, Knoxville, Athens, Gainesville, Oxford. Austin, Tallahasee, Norman, Columbus, Lincoln. Pick one

I know other cities have now surpassed Tampa as the premier SC city but it's still pretty good
Thanks dawg
John can you confirm these ideas ? The sooner I can request for days off the better for me

Most of the rest of the clubs are good ones.
