Yeah, it's pretty common. In some cases as others have mentioned, it's a calculated move on her part to move away from cash on delivery model to a more flexible payment arrangement but still ultimately transactional. It's also sometimes part of a romance hustle, be it a short term one that will quickly lead to requests for help or a more long term one in which she sees me as an exit strategy. The former being substantially more common.
But all of those are relatively rare, usually the reason for the 'free OTC' is much more pedestrian. One of the more common things I get is literally: Can I come use your washing machine? The next most common is that they want to spend the night. A lot of them have shitty apartments, often with roommates, sometimes sharing a 1br or efficiency. They'll ask to come over so they can get a decent nights sleep. Some girls just wanna come hang by the pool or take a bubble bath. They're sorta conditioned to having sex when they come, so we end up doing that whenever they come over.
Another common occurrence is to go out on the boat. Strippers love to hang out at the various sandbars and little island parks. If they see the boat in the yard, when it comes up in conversation, or if I see them out there with someone else, they're not shy about asking if they can go next time. They also love to bring their stripper or civi friends with them. One of my favorite stripper activities is an evening bikini boat wash after a day at the sandbar.
Not so common, but sometimes they'll ask to tag along on weekend trips and stuff. When that show Siesta Key was popular, any mention of going over there was sure to be met with a "can I come!!?!?!?!" and a surprising number of girls have lived in south Florida their entire lives and never been to places like Key West or Daytona. I've got a picture of me and some friends next to the southernmost point buoy hanging out by the pool that has lead to a bunch of trips.

Remember in our capitalist society “sex is never free"; there are always costs associated with sexual activity, whether they are financial, emotional, social, or physical.

Q: Why do they do this? A: Because they want to and they can, women control the access to sex. Strippers like most women have the right to decide whether or not to engage in sexual activity and with whom.
Q: Isn’t always about the money to them? A: It is not always about the money, strippers have their individual situation and their personal reasons to have sex. Some are looking for a “Daddy” to have sex with, because of some kind of trauma in their life.
I t might be also that some strippers have been coached by their pimps to engage in the “Long Con” where they build trust with the victim (you) before ultimately defrauding them (you)

And if shes hiding her fucked upness, also doesnt mean shes in business mode. She could be intimidated by the guy, insecure or anxious so she presents her best self
Its not really as simple as “shes hiding how messed up she is therefore shes in business mode”, or that “she brought a friend along so shes just using you”
I had a regular meet me in a restaurant for dinner a couple times with the cost only being the price of her meal. I considered it a fringe benefit I got from spending money on her in the strip club. I have had a couple other regulars drop hints they would do the same thing but was not that interested after having already done it and finding it was not something I cared about that much.
