She was also to pay it back to me in 20 monthly equal payments.

Well she made 1 payment, but never any more.
And then as it turned out the two girls had to trade the car in within 12 months, so they could separate their affairs and each by another new car.
That the second girl was involved was also a reason I did not want to be connected to it.
And then in our years of marriage I was again and again having to veto bullshit businesses she wanted to get into with girl friends, things which might be set up on credit or which might otherwise have costs or liabilities.
This even got discussed with one of our marriage councilors.
And then it got worse and worse and worse as she became involved with professional fraudsters, a pyramid scam. I put up with the nonsense for a long time. Then finally I turned to state regulators to act and got them to come down like a ton of bricks.
But my wife's brain was already long gone.
Anyway, WOMEN ARE EXPENSIVE. But then like I said, the original reason money was invented was for handing it to women. So you just have to learn how to manage the situations.
