Also wine bars depending on where you live. In some larger cities I will go into these and it's cougar heaven, and most of these babes are on the prowl. I am way to young for these babes as most of them where 50+ and more plastic on them than the front bumper of a Honda Accord.
Lastly, you may want to check out your local upscale gym. I live next to a golf resort and they have gym membership for locals. + a chick that you find attractive/desirable and she finds you attractive/desirable

What are the chances the avg guy can pick up attractive/desirable women whom are willing to fuck at the snap of a finger; especially middle-aged guys? I've been to bars where I brought the average age down. Hotel bars are notorious for skewing towards older professionals, although they can be dead. Wine bars also tend not to have too many drunk coeds. The richer parts of town have more expensive bars that tend to attract more established people.
I personally strongly prefer Internet over bar for meeting people, simply because it involves less wasted time. But I'm also not sure how well it works for a slightly older demographic.
only use Internet dating as a supplement to real dating. you are going to get approached by 40 somethings on the regular just be nice they have 20 something friends.
