Has anyone visited clubs outside the US?

Saturday, January 7, 2006 6:51 PM
I read that Yoda has visited and recommended Adelaides (sp) in TJ and have heard from a mutual friend that it's a great club with a full menu where men are treated exceptionally well. Another poster recently complained about a club in Vancouver, BC. What are the clubs like in Canada? Are there any clubs or stories from Cuba? I've heard that prostitution is widely available there and that the beaches are spectactular. Legally Americans are not permitted to go their but many go through Canada (or so I've heard). A friend of mine wanted to go but is a doc and didn't want to get in any trouble with his license. His friends went and had a great time - (something about those brown nipples that turn men on). I've read that the Moulin Rouge in Paris is a tourist trap, rip-off. But then I saw a special on HBO a couple of weeks ago and whatever club it was in Paris, I'd love to go there. It was a stage show with lots of nude, choreographed dancers. Not sure if they provide LDs.

Romania was also the home of the historical model for Dracula, Vlad the Impaler. With either that or gypsy in your heritage, you can't go wrong with the ladies.

I would say that a great porn name would be "Chad the Impaler", but it sounds like he'd probably be in gay porn. As for Shad the impaler, we know his preference.

Yoda: I read a post this last Summer and thought it was from you. Adelaides was recommended and a discussion followed suggesting how to best cross the border .I apologize for confusing you with the person who suggested that club.

Bess Arabia? Looks like Google says it's in Romania. Are you a gypsy, Shadow?

CG: That's okay, I've heard worse. (I'm half French.)

The French rude? That's a myth. Ya dumb shit. Uh, excuse me, I don't know where that came from.

chandler, I know you may have been joking but in case you aren't, I'm probably stereotyping the French as being smaller in size in general than many Americans. I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing.

TH20: I've never been to Mexico. The closest I've come to TJ is Cheetahs in San Diego. Do you recall where you read that?

CG: I'm just curious, is it your understanding that people in France are small and/or petite, or that they are more apt to be accomodating of newcomers who don't take up too much room?

I haven't visited any strip clubs outside the US but I have received dances from dancers from foreign countries and from one who was moving to France. I thought she would probably fit in since she was small and petite.

Chandler, I'll have to e-mail a friend, but I remember the trip clearly. We stopped at the crossing and the Canadian official asked us the purpose of our trip. My friend said beer, strippers, gambling and Cuban cigars. The guy just smiled and waved us through.

T: I'd forgotten about your original post. The Moulin Rouge is in the heart of Pigalle and it's definitely a tourist trap. It's kind of funny to walk down that strip just to hear all the shills. I'd be very surprised if the Crazy Horse had anything close to lapdancing. It's over on the Right Bank next to the ritzy hotels off the Champs Elysees. I haven't been there, but friends of mine have told me what it's like. I love Paris, but the kind of sensuality it promises nowadays is more ambient to me, rather that earthy and literal.

Chandler, thanks for jogging my memory. It was the Crazy Horse that was featured on HBO. -T

AN: It might have been one of the clubs out from downtown Windsor? There are quite a few, and they may be less strict. Or you might indeed have gotten lucky on a day shift. I've also been to Sarnia a few times (across the bridge from Port Huron, Michigan). There's definitely lapdancing there, but the girls generally aren't so hot. London, Ontario and a couple of other cities I've tried between Michigan and Toronto/Niagara have fairly tame lapdancing, but the stage shows get pretty wild. One thing that's undeniable about Canadians: They enjoy their alcohol.

In Britain, I hear that American-style strip clubs with lapdancing are starting to catch on on a small scale. Ten years ago, I believe all they had was burlesque-type shows and clip joints in tourist areas like Soho. In Paris, they have stage shows like the Crazy Horse or the Pigalle clip joints (I assume) with shills out front to lure in tourists. Some of the back streets around Pigalle have B-drinking type little bars with girls hanging around the entry. I never bit. I don't believe France has adopted American-style clubs. The very idea seems farfetched.

Chandler, I see what you mean after checking the reviews. It seems unlikely I got a lapdance in Windsor 4ish years ago. Since I am certain I left the US via Detroit with a friend I'm now wondering where the hell it was if not Windsor.

Perhaps I got lucky. One dayshift with one dancer on one visit does not make for much of a sample. I was just struck that I've never noticed much difference in Canada. Also, as I recall I was using US dollars in Windsor (didn't bother to change money), so depending on the exchange rate I probably overspent.

Well, that might be the only report I've heard in the last 12 years of lapdancing in Windsor. The clubs around Detroit are so good, nobody but tourists goes to Windsor clubs, so I guess the rest of us had no way of knowing. :)

Chandler, Windsor was a number of years ago, probably 4+. Toronto was probably 6 years ago and Ottowa about 2. I just found it interesting that over that timespan in three different cities in Ontario I got lapdances that were all very similar and all high contact. As for Windsor, with the casinos going up they were really encouraging the tourism last time I was there and the lapdances I had were pretty lenient on the touching. I didn't try to go much further than boobs and booty though. Haven't had a reason to read the Windsor reviews lately, so I'll defer to them for what it's like now. I do know they are still pushing for the tourist dollar from a friend in the area, but he hasn't been clubbing in years. He says the billboards for the Canadian casinos and stripclubs start in the Detroit suburbs.

I've been to several clubs in Montreal that were great but it was a long time ago. I've been to several clubs in Europe and they were all terrible, but again it was long ago. I've also been to a great club in San Juan but it was more whore house than strip club, again a long time ago. Nothing recent. Would love to try Niagara Falls sometime.

Windsor??? How recently? I haven't tried the clubs there in quite some time, assuming they were still no-touch.

Not all of Canada is like Niagara Falls. There used to be some pretty wild clubs around Toronto, but most have been raided into lameness. Toronto itself has a lot of clubs, but no really great ones. Windsor must have been something else decades ago. Ever since I've been going, it has been strictly no-touch, although you'll see some knockouts. Montreal is great fun, but I've never to a strip club there. I hear they're better outside the city. I don't think there's much worth trying in Canada west of south Ontario. Vancouver is pretty low contact from all I've heard. Prostitution is legal, of course, but only incall. So, for instance, you can easily arrange for OTC sex in a Windsor club, but the Mounties are known to raid clubs for "bawdyhouse" violations.

Montreal has GREAT stripclubs intown and GREAT FS clubs a short drive outside the city. The strippers are almost always 8-10s and the US dollar goes a long way up there.

Chandler, all the clubs I've been to were in Ontario (Ottowa, Windsor, Toronto) and allowed all the same level of contact I keep hearing about at the Falls clubs. This has been over the course of several years. My guess is that the province allows the full contact. At various times some localities will try a crackdown. Mostly Toronto. From what I hear it lasts a year or so but things gradually evolve back to the previous state. My theory is that the Falls clubs are immune since so much of the city's economy is tied up in tourism from the US. The same is becoming true of Windsor.

I think the east coast of Canada is different from the west. In Vancouver and probably also Alberta they have no contact laws. Very good looking women dancing there though: When they get on stage they usually get announce as Miss November in Playboy, blah... Maybe it's all BS but they are foxes! It would be interesting to know how many do private shows and how many just support themselves on stage shows. I talked to one and she said she just did stage shows and made $70k/y, which sounds a little meager by hot stripper standards.

I'm a big fan of Canada. Full contact nude lapdances for $20 Canadian, fully nude onstage, full bar. If you are shy the dancers will put your hands on their breasts and booty for you. The kitty is a slightly different matter. You usually have to buy a few dances to pet the kitty. Anyway, it has been like that in every Canadian club I've visited. Gotta get back to Niagra Falls before one of their periodin crackdowns.

I read Dracula last year. It was so sensual. The characters written letters to one another were so thoughtful and loving. I saw Gypsy Kings perform at The Joint in the Hard Rock Casino. What a great show! There's more than a dozen guitar players and the're all smiling throughout the show, genuinely enjoying entertaining the crowd. A lot of them look related like uncles, nephews and brothers.
