Yeah, I know, flip burgers. I am reminded of a former stripper at my favorite club. She once worked at Scores in NYC. I mentioned her in another thread recently. She is the Puerto Rican that says I have a big dick. She is doing tours of duty in Guam. 9 months there and then comes home to see family and friends. Then back to Guam. She has told shekitout and myself that she is making tons of money there. Stripping or more probabbly hooking. For those of you not familar with the island of Guam, it is a U.S. territory. They are citizens but like Puerto Ricans, they have no political say so. The main economic resource is the U.S. military. Anderson AFB and Agana NAS. This provides strip clubs with a lot of customers with little to spend. There are some tourists but they are mostly from Japan. Not big spenders. I have never been there but an AF Staff Seargent told me that they were ugly looking. Years later, I found this to be true when I sold a house to a family of them in California.
I guess an over the hill stripper that can speak English, might be considered to be prime meat there.
I used to work with a number of people from Guam. One of them was in a government job program that brought her here to Omaha. There used to be a good number of them, but for one reason or another, they all quit or got fired. Anyway, one of them was someone I would always talk with, and whenever she talked about Guam, all she would say is it was the dumping ground of humanity and you couldn't wait to escape.
As for the original topic, I always thought they ended up in some middle of nowhere place like South Dakota or biker bars or something and never realized they couldn't make it anymore.
Ah...Guam, that tropical paradise--- well, tropical anyway. One of my least favorite places to travel. Visit only if you have to and make sure you bring some Immodium AD.
Some over-the-hill dancers obviously migrate to a seedier club. I've been in some joints where you could have sold AARP memberships to some of the dancers. And some of those old gals are surprisingly popular. Gee I wonder why.
