It's both a good and bad thing. Stripper TikTok has fucked us up and diluted the minds of idiot baby strippers and aspiring strippers into thinking this job is easy and fast money. They lead them into thinking every night will be a $1,000 night without needing to talk to customers or doing any dances. Just look up the #striptok hashtag on TikTok.
While it is fast money, it's not always easy. $1,000+ every night is not realistic in any world - not even before the pandemic began.
But because 8 million girls suddenly want to work, the industry is way over saturated. And many don't actually *need* the money. They so it because they think it's all about pole or they're just interested in dancing. I work with a dumb bitch who's a trophy wife and she refuses to dances. She likes just going on stage and doing unnecessary pole tricks that nobody appreciates as much as she wants them to. Two others I work with respectively live with their parents and go to college. They don't *need* to dance.
So charging the girls $100 to audition weeds out the dumb fuck ignorant baby strippers and leaves it open to the girls who are actual hustlers or those who do need the money.
Stripping is meant to be a job about survival or a fall back in case nothing else works out. Not a job glamorized by stupid clout seeking TikTok bitches.

Worked for Amazon at first. Got injured. Then worked from home for Quicken Loans for a few months. Rage quit because fuck Quicken Loans. They pay well, but I had no free time because they made me work 6 days every week. Went back to dancing.

I lived in downtown Detroit for five years and it was a fairly positive experience. My only complaint was having to go shop for groceries in the suburbs. Despite paying 300,000,000 on rent in downtown, it's still okay in downtown Detroit. The suburbs are great if you're a dude looking for some "VIP action".
My only suggestions for people are to not venture into the Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit and to also stay far the fk away from the 48205 aka 4820DIE zip code. It's all gang territory and known as the bloodiest area of Michigan.

This is one of my fears about working in a strip club. My main club has metal detectors now.
Another anxiety inducing thought I sometimes have is if I were to be stabbed or killed in VIP and the customer leaves before anyone notices.

Btw, that is true about PHC. Subie bought it, but the city won't let it reopen.
I asked around over the past few days and found out you are able to get more than dances, but the right bouncer and the right girls need to be there (I wasn't given names, nor did I ask.
Dancer tip out is $50 to the house, $0 DJ, and $10 house mom. Valet is $9. No freelance fees and no schedules. Not sure if there are late fees.
I'm most likely going to check it out this month sometime.

Actually table dances are a thing. I did a few on night shift last year for parties. Iirc they're $15 and tops have to stay on. Definitely not bullshit. It's just that nobody advertises them. I used them also as a preview for ...umm... stick shift driving previews at booths and tables.

From a dancer's perspective, Players day shift is awesome... So long as the dancer isn't "big" and can handle her liquor and/or drugs. I've never worked a day shift with more than 9 others and still left with okay money. But the day time manager (who's female) seems to hire very liberally. As in, pretty much anyone who walks in can get hired.
I don't mind being buzzed from a shot or two opposed to others who get straight up messed up, so maybe that's why I always did okay here.
That female DJ is a house mom on other nights I guess... But she was okay for a female strip club DJ. She was willing to take song requests from dancers and customers w/o asking for a request charge.
It's unfortunate you didn't have a good time there. It may have just been a weird day. I'll be there next weekend day and night shifts because Legends has weird events going on that will be a distraction to the customers from the dancers.
The 8 Mile strip club scene has a totally different vibe than the suburban clubs.
Also, Players has bomb as fuck food. 👌 It's way better than Flight Club's.

I ran into some DG girls at Legends. They said there are too many girls doing extras at DG now and they couldn't handle it anymore. A lot of girls who are anti/don't want to do extras are all about the lap dance factory clubs. Many of them are oversaturated with dancers and few customers these days. It's seriously like cut throat shark behavior at Legends right now for example. Especially with 50+ girls every god damn weekend night.
And I would totally write a review about Coli if I go there to work.

I have worked both day shift and night shift here. I just wanted to make a small correction that day shift can stay until 8pm. Most of us choose to leave at 7pm though. The benefit in staying is we can focus more on hustling and don't have to worry about going on stage for that last hour.
The DJ also doesn't automatically skip us on stage if we're in VIP. And our skip fees can vary depending on different circumstances. She may have been hurrying to hustle more or hurrying because she was going to be on stage soon and didn't want to pay the skip fee.

I think a lot of this would be dependent on location. In the Metro Detroit area, this is kind of a no-brainer. However elsewhere, some of these would be questionable because of the strictness in other municipalities with regards to ordinances.
