Iknowbetter nailed it. It still exists, it’s still a major threat. However, with a potential world war looming due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Turkey preparing to invade Syria, a global pandemic with new variants every few months, etc the media in the US has moved onto more important topics. Much of the threat to the west has been reduced and it’s taken the fight out of some groups entirely. Give it time, they will rebuild and catch headlines again at some point, but the media has moved on to other things.

I haven’t posted a review of the club but Cloakroom is good. This should be an interesting addition. Full contact lap dances can be had, but it’s pricey and low value. If you’re in business with no rental car can you potentially get the job done? Sure, if you’re sensitive, willing to drop a few hundred, and get lucky. You’ll prob have been luck OTC. Extras are beyond frowned upon there (you and the dancer will get thrown out).
DC clubs are trending in the right direction at least. DC even tried to decriminalize sex work in 2019 (sadly the bill was killed) so it’s getting more liberal and open overall. While contact lap dances are still illegal based on the laws on the book I believe, there is zero enforcement or desire to enforce it, which is great because DC clubs sucked until Cloakroom broke down that wall. Now many do it. It’s possible someone did it before them, but they are the ones I heard about.
If you go, there’s a dancer named Leah that’s worth getting dances from. You won’t get extras (it’s still DC) but she’s blisteringly hot and funny. Expensive tho. In fact, most of the ladies I’ve met there have been pretty epic since they reopened a few years ago on the conversation front.

There was a dancer in a certain city who developed an unhealthy interest in me (think she saw a meal ticket but who knows, she was not ok) who hopped from club to club so there was no guaranteed way to avoid her in the city I got dances in the most. Once, after turning her down 3 or 4 times one night and not getting dances from anyone, I finally was chatting with a very cute blonde and was working out details of the VIP tip when she came running up and screamed “He’s mine! He’s only getting dances from me! I told you…” blah blah blah and grabbed the girl by the hair and threw her to the ground, then turned to me as sweet as could be and said “you’re ready for that dance now?”
You asked for crazy, and she delivered. She practically chased me out onto the street (I left, quickly and with no dignity) but the manager intercepted her. I called in the next night and thankfully she was let go over it so I made that the only club I went to in that city… and years later it’s still the only club I go to. She had real “I want to wear your skin as a mask” vibes.

I walked into a club once and had two dancers stabbing each other tumble onto me the second I walked in, followed by basically every other staff member in the club and half the customers. Huge fight broke out, movie style, and I ended up stuck inside the club. Ended up going VIP with a scared looking dancer so we had walls in between us and the general room in case shots starting going off (VIP was near the emergency exit). We ended up having a lot of fun together and nobody came to check on us at all till the shouting and chaos calmed down and then we finally snuck out of VIP. I think it was the only time I willingly went bare with a dancer (I’ve been stealthed a couple of times and had it break a few over the years). Not intentionally (good way to get something) but we were both so shaken we just screwed up. Yes, I gave her an extra tip for Plan B. Hope to god she used it. When I made it to the parking lot there were at least 30 cops there and probably 15 people on the ground in cuffs. Apparently multiple people were taken away in ambulances, some fled from the police, it was a whole production. BB aside, that was the smartest VIP money I’ve ever spent, to avoid being involved in that nonsense.

Excellent list. OZ has some insanely hot ladies. Oasis as well. Red Room is fun and is in my top 2-3 go-to's in the region.

I've dropped caffeine 3 times over the decades. Currently off again, and have been for a couple of years. I feel MUCH better without it. Highly recommend.

Jessie Jane. I would still gladly pay 4, maybe 5, figures for a night with her. Closest I've ever come was some lap dances, sadly.
She is pretty much the epitome of what I find attractive (energy, humor, body, face, etc).

Fun parties. If you are industry it can be good business and a good time. If you aren't, you might be able to book one of the stars as a companion in the area before it all starts (after it starts they are booked for shoots). As a non-industry person, it's not really worth the trip.

As someone that's hit most of the clubs in both regions (not just the city) it's about as tight as a baby dancer on her first night at Follies a few years ago (pour one out for ATL).
This is for in-club general fun and extras ONLY, otherwise, Miami would scorch Detroit in every other category.
This is my logic:
- Detroit is more affordable, has a lower risk of drama, is extremely reliable, and has a good variety of dancers. However, the customers and overall ambiance of the clubs take a hit.
- Miami can be more expensive and less reliable, plus clubs can definitely erupt into drama with no notice... but the top-tier dancers are practically goddesses with insane skills and are quite literally porn stars in some situations and the clubs can actually be a blast due to special events (adult cons, fetish cons, etc).
We're really scraping 9.8 vs 9.81 territories here but I'm giving the nod to Florida.
Clubbing in both is excellent. Dancers are excellent. Extras are excellent and plentiful. Detroit is a little more like the girl next door, she's always going to be there for you... but Miami is the hot drunk chick at the bar you hook up with occasionally. You don't know if you're barebacking her in the alley or if she's going to steal your wallet, but the sex is worth the risk.
Vote goes for Miami.

Both parties suck and are dedicated to ensuring that their corporate donors continue to fill their pockets at the common man's expense regardless. The only "difference" is a handful of social issues they've used the media to stir folks up with that don't really matter to most people's day-to-day lives and most importantly don't impact profits or require structural change. I can't really complain, it's my pockets they are filling too as I've dealt with both parties for years and while some reps are better than others it has nothing to do with their party affiliation.
That being said, the election denier types need to be voted down at every chance. Red or Blue, we need at least some semblance of democracy which if they get their way we won't have. They will lead the US down a very, very dark path. If my choice is between the pronoun police or traitors doing the work of an adversary with a red, white, and blue flag of its own... then I guess I'm going straight ticket pronoun. I'd toss DeSantis a vote, potentially, but that's not my state.
A better path for all of us would be to outlaw parties altogether, implement rank choice voting and make each politician stand on their own merits and their position on local issues, but it's basically a glorified football game now where the fans are too stupid to even understand the rules, much less the nuance of the game.

Excellent review. Insane prices. Have been here before but not since the pandemic started. Going up there tomorrow for the first time in years and may give it a pass based on this, which is unfortunate as I don't mind dropping a few hundred or more for kicks... but at $50 a song they better be ladies I recognize from Tiktok to justify the "celebrity" premium.

@twentyfive - I definitely caught that ;-) I love South Florida overall for clubbing, but Tampa/St Pete/Clearwater has a chill vibe for general life that I love. Overall vibe matters more than clubbing, but I tend to find they go hand in hand with what I like.
@Papi_Chulo - I have actually considered that, or a Philly/Tampa split since I can get a sleeper car on a train and bounce between them easily (less hassle than flying and I actually enjoy the journey).
@Mark94 - I am, part of why I'm going to move soon, rent and make sure I dig the vibe, and then will buy the dip to get a property. No substitute for spending time in an area for a few months to make sure you're picking the right location. That's how I ended up where I am now (and I've decided it's not the right location).

@Papi_Chulo - Forgot to add, appreciate the extra detail on Detroit. I knew about the city crackdown but not that the out of city clubs still being good. That definitely raises Detroit up the list a couple of notches.

@ChampPhilly - I have considered Nevada, and it's near the top of my list for sure.
@Lockjaw - Definitely not just for it. I figured this thread might unearth some hidden gems though. Everyone knows about South Florida and Detroit, but I'm sure there are other areas that are awesome to live in that also have healthy club scenes. I tend to find a lot more general debauchery in areas where extras clubs are tolerated - which I like, whether that's swingers clubs, party culture, etc.

Got it @twentyfive, Palm Beach County it is!
South Florida is nice and I've spent ample time there (really the entire east coast of FL) over the past 20-30 years, but I think for Florida Tampa is my pick. Less traffic, lower prices, lots of growth opportunities for businesses, it's got solid transit options (for Florida), a lot of great restaurants, and entertainment options that are all easily accessible.
TJ is fun, but I definitely wouldn't want to live there. San Diego isn't a terrible option someone mentioned above, or somewhere between there and LA.
@EastCoaster - that is great to hear about Philly! I've considered somewhere on the outskirts or up towards the mountains, but most of the dancers I knew there all transitioned to OF during the pandemic and haven't come back.
@Papi_Chulo - Stellar response. Phoenix is definitely too hot for me in the summer. San Antonio and Austin would be on my list, but long term the state seems pretty anti-SW so I worry about all the Texas destinations, and I'd only really consider hill country anyway (which I've spent lots of time in). Detroit (or about an hour outside of it) is actually something I've considered... a house along the water north of the city wouldn't be terrible and gives me easy access to Toronto, one of my fav cities. The countryside is genuinely beautiful there although winters are no joke. It's definitely hard to find all three... figured this thread might surface some unexpected delights, like a cute little mountain town in WV with 4 seedy clubs, great restaurants, and stellar views.
@desertscrub - I actually never thought about PR, and shockingly have never been. There are also some significant tax advantages to being there, but it didn't seem like a place with a healthy SC scene (or any kind of debauchery really). Will look into that more.

Cities I'm particularly interested in hearing opinions about include Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Pittsburg. The first two used to have epic options but recent reviews I've read have been solidly mixed, but perhaps I'm not looking in the right spots.

One thing to keep in mind is that our engagement with the Russians is only partly conducted in public. Between cyber attacks and various other activities, the bulk of what's happening (in the general sense - I'm not providing specifics here) isn't public.
What you see (statements, etc) is designed for public consumption and everyone knows that. Regardless of who the president is all of this is highly coordinated. There's very little difference between the parties when it comes to military matters.
It's very easy to armchair quarterback "this was a mistake" or "that was perfect" but just keep in mind that you are operating with information designed primarily to influence and manipulate the other side, and you're trying to draw conclusions from that. You're also being heavily influenced by active information operations designed to sow discord amongst Americans and the West... so as you all sit here bickering with each other just realize that's exactly what Putin wants and has been actively working towards for decades.
Having opinions is fine, just remember we're (all of us in the western world) are all on the same side. We are stronger together... and we're going to need to be together in order to make it through what's likely coming.

She got paid the same for less work. In her mind this was probably a net win, probably didn't want to be dancing in the first place.

Also security watches the lap dance room cameras like a hawk so keep your hands spread wide, even touching your own leg will send security running into the room (I found this out when my phone started to slip out of my pocket and I stopped it).

Also, props to @Omega_Entertainment for actually catching the error. Just wish 2-3 more folks had and then this would have gotten rejected and I could have submitted correctly. First time I've screwed up where I posted a review, sorry about that.
For clarification Minx *IS* a strip club. They offer 1 way contact lap dances. It's not a great one and the songs are pre-paid, so if you're jamming when the song ends the dance ends and it takes a few minutes to get another queued up. It's a weird and jarring experience. When it's busy maybe that's less of an issue. Friendly staff, friendly dancers and many are on insta as well. Lap dances are around $30 per song but can vary a little by dancer from what I've seen.
