Tampa is the way. Confirmed things are open. Don't expect to dip your toes into the water at the beaches there, but you can have a good time still. Cocoa Beach doesn't begin to compare unless you just want some day shift eye candy for cheap.

FL just wants people to suffer. Girls 18-20 now are just going to turn to more dangerous ways of making money, likely direct sex work or PPM sugaring. Like most of the laws those geniuses pass, it's counterproductive.

With the new FL law banning under 21 dancers it was already going to be an interesting trip from a club perspective. I tend to prefer 21+ dancers myself, but I wonder how that's impacted staffing and energy levels at clubs. Quite a one two punch for FL it seems like, maybe one two three given two hurricanes in a row.

Answering my own question here - Diamond Dolls is shockingly a good spot. Doing Oz tomorrow. That was my plan B but DD went well enough that it wasn't needed. Think it was 90% good luck however.

Porn stars are the definition of your mileage may vary. Do your research well, and you can have an *amazing* time. Do it poorly, or not at all, and you might end up with someone who arrives late (or flakes) and has the excitement of a dead fish, with track marks on their arms. My experiences have been universally positive, but I research up front to keep it that way.

Not offered? That's unfortunate. This used to be the best spot in NC, now it's very much a "me too" place with one or two possible exceptions. Oh how the mighty have fallen. At least the dancers still dance and don't just sit on their phones like some of the other clubs tho.

Kimmy was the *best*. Huge loss. Sadly for all the new rooms you're only going to get standard dances. Sometimes good contact, etc, but nothing that delves into extras territory. For those of us that remember the Executive Suites years it's a lot tamer now. With Southside gone, I think the era of easy fun has closed in NC.

Good article, thanks for sharing! I spent a lot of time in ATL back then (most of my time in fact). Her story borders plausible if she was lucky, but that 5k would have been attached to NDAs she would have needed to sign. I know some stuff went down there because I was there for some of it. Don't recognize her tho. I'll never forget, through a quirk of fate, ending up hanging with a well-known rock band one evening after a show and that's the club we all ended up at. How the hell I managed to make it through that night (much less the hundreds of other nights) without getting shot, arrested, or infected with something is beyond me. That place was never my favorite, but it's where I took "high rollers" if they wanted to have some fun. Good times, good memories. Hadn't thought of that place in years.

Man, I read about this right after the shooting at Allure. Wonder if I should be delaying my ATL trip. While this is the best way to die, definitely want that to be many decades off :)

This sucks. Finally coming back to the ATL after years away tomorrow for a weekend trip and had narrowed my plans to this club and Vivide (day shift for both). With this just happening I wonder if too many eyes might be on them for those of us planning on having an extra good time. I miss Follies, always knew where to go, didn't have to worry about reading 50 reviews and seeing what place was opening, or closing, or which former club's dancers had migrated to. A lot of effort, but I do love the 404, and will be glad to see it regardless.

Sounds like the same as the VA Beach instances of this club. A solid no-go.

Been to a number. Some of the Cafe Risques are closed but I often stopped for pie (I kid you not) on the way down south every month or so. Think it was the Dunn, NC location, which was in a dry county which likely hurt it. Really good food and I'm not someone who eats at clubs ever... I've stopped at the other ones and remember I used to get bed dances at the Darien, GA location (the last financial crisis killed it). Only Micanopy is left.

I remember those shows at Players Club in Charm City - fun times. Saw similar in NOLA back in the old days, definitely wild by today's tame standards.

So many things and it's too late to type them up, so I'll go with one dancer stabbing another with her heel repeatedly while the other dancer tried to pull a Mike Tyson on her face (punch, bite, etc) throwing blood everywhere the second I walked into the foyer of the club (they slammed through the door into me and then out the front door into the parking lot followed by every staff member and half the customers). It went even more sideways from there but... yeah. I've seen a thing or two like the time ~8 guys having a bachelor party got introduced to a brown liquid cannon in their faces from one of the dancers who apparently did her squat just a *little* too hard. I went back to both of those clubs because clearly, I have no self-preservation instinct. Both of those were FL. I've seen good stuff too, like famous folks getting head next to me in VIP, an entire drunk bachelorette party show up and attack a couple of guys who apparently weren't supposed to be at a club, and... well... maybe that last one wasn't good... but it was one of the most entertaining things I've ever seen. They were literally dragging one guy out of the club until a bouncer tackled like 4 of them at once. If you spend enough time in clubs you'll see all sorts of shit, especially if those clubs are in Florida (all of those stories are from FL despite going to clubs in about 40 states).

Can confirm there are cameras, and they are monitored. Good review. I think this place holds the "high end" club title for Greensboro right now (something Tiffany's/Christie's did in years past). Well run, clean, safe, with good talent but you aren't getting a lot of mileage or extras. Definitely the place I'd bring a friend or group however as there's something for everyone. TC is my personal fav for Greensboro, SSJ when I feel like slumming it, but this is my choice for grabbing a drink with a friend and catching up and getting a dance or two for girls the other clubs can't pull. Centerfolds and this place are owned by the same folks, and I haven't been since they redid Centerfolds, so that might be comparable to this place now as well (just smaller).

Parking fee must be new, haven't ever seen that in 20 years of going here. Currently closed due to a shooting I believe but will likely reopen.

The only lie I ever tell is when a girl asks for a dance that I'm not attracted to and I say "I just got here, maybe later" or "I'm not getting any dances tonight". There's a 95% chance that within 5 minutes of saying either of those things I'm headed to VIP with some blonde. I feel like those are well know gentle let downs, however. They know it's BS, you know it's BS, but it's better than saying "No, you smell of rotten cottage cheese and look like David Hasslehoff, I'd rather get a dance from a Llama that just ate chili, please go away".

You are correct. I've been to every strip club in the state of VA and none of them are good. Crystal City Restaurant in Arlington VA is so-so, but only because the food is good. Other than that, from the sea to the mountains there isn't a single one worth visiting if you have the time to go to NC (which has some great clubs, particularly around Greensboro) or MD (which also has some great ones, particularly around Baltimore). There are a handful worth swinging by for eye candy if you're on a business trip within 5 miles of them already, but zero destinations. If you want mileage and you're in VA, you're hitting an interstate first.

This is an interesting conversation but there’s so much market manipulation happening that whatever happens, until the rug is pulled at least, is going to be driven by those forces. We could face hyperinflation (unlikely), persistent but lower inflation (likely) or even deflation (likely). Predictions from firms that have a role and stand to profit from market manipulation should be discarded. Would recommend checking out some of the academic (not sponsored academic) chatter on the topics if you have a genuine interest.
